Food: 5/5 (Yummy!) Service: 5/5 (Great service!) Atmosphere: (amazing vibe!) I loved, loved, loved the experience at BAPS Home Style Korean BBQ Cuisine 밥스 식당! Located in Lansing, Michigan, this restaurant gives you the opportunity to sit around the table and grill your own food. Amazing! The food was awesome! I enjoyed grilling Ribeye, Porkbelly, Boneless Shortribs, and marinated Pork. The rice rolls and super spicy chicken wings were a hit as well. The only downfall of the grill was that it was electric and we had to cook on a piece of parchment paper, but other than that, the food was outstanding! The service was phenomenal! There was one staff member who was supervising two large parties, explained the menu plainly, and didn't miss a beat in serving. She was great! The atmosphere was my favorite! Very homie, great decor, lovely lights, grills, flags, and great vibe! The restaurant was amazing! All in all, BAPS Home Style Korean BBQ Cuisine 밥스 식당 was very good. I throughly enjoyed the experience.

Absolutely delicious! Kind service and greetings. Very generous portions and sides, if I visit Michigan again definitely would stop again.

The servers were very knowledgeable and helpful as we were trying to decide on what to get. It was a little too much, since we were all 100% Korean and probably knew more about the menu than they did lol. But they were very friendly and very nice. Appreciated it. The guys shared the intestine hot pot, which would have served 4 guys well. Good portions, and pretty authentic. Though we've had better. A friend stone bowl bulgogi very much. Not too salty, and good as a soup almost, with plenty of mushrooms. I had the beef short rib soup. I asked for the noodles on the side, and was told that was not possible. But they were able to take it out completely. I'm assuming that they cook the noodles in the soup rather than separately and add it in. The dish was pretty standard. Overall, not bad. Looking at the portions and the cooking, I'd come back for hot pot or bbq, and feel like their Army Hot Pot or Tteokbokki Hot Pot would be pretty good. Not sure that I'd go out of my way to revisit though. On the way, for sure.

This was my second time here. We ordered Bibimbap, pork katsu, and ox tail soup for the table and everything was delicious. We were in a rush so didn't barbeque but it looked interesting. The sides are delicious, as always, but we had to ask for more.

Had a fantastic meal, and excellent service by our waitress, despite her being shorthanded and running all the tables. She was still able to give some of my friends an introduction on Korean BBQ, so absolutely impressed, and hope I get her again at my next visit!

How do I even explain the experiences I have had here… I have come to eat at BAPS many times, and can confidently say I have tried almost every item on the menu. I eat here often! Everything is FANTASTIC! Soups, entrees, appetizers, hotpot’s and BBQ are so tasteful, and fill you up with great portions! I recommend this restaurant to everyone! The atmosphere is amazing, and the staff is very helpful when explaining how Korean food is traditionally prepared and eaten. I highly recommend the Soft Tofu Stew with Pork, Kyochon chicken and the Dolsot bibimbap with beef!! Also trying the Korean bbq is a must!!

We had a lot of fun here! Having never been to a Korean BBQ before, we weren’t sure how it worked. Overall, it was a blast to cook our meats and veggies ourselves and their flavors were great! There was a decent amount of sides but we had to ask for more. Super unique and a bit more exciting than the typical restaurant. There’s definitely a technique to it and I think we’ll be better at it on our next approach.

Let me tell you a story about the owner of this establishment. Back in the day during the height of the pandemic, this Korean man was the last man standing, he took orders, cooked, and then packaged all by himself. The wait was a little bit long but the food was good and I am happy to see he has a full staff working and business is doing well.

We ordered a tonnnn of food. The kimbap was really tasty and I like the rice they used. It's not something I was familiar with in this setting but it worked! The Korean fried chicken was really tasty but I did find one that wasn't thoroughly cooked all they way. The cuts of pork belly were pretty lean. Would have loved a bit more fat on them! And I wish we didn't have to use the parchment paper on the grill. I feel like it loses the chance of getting the meats to be crispy, but I do understand that it helps the clean up process. Definitely still a great place to go to considering it's one of the few in the area and our waitress was really sweet.
