Pretty tasty. When you walk into Papa's Dog House, you get the feeling of walking into a diner from Small town USA, and you would be absolutely correct. The prices are very reasonable, and the cooking is very down to earth. Miss Debbie the owner/operator treats her customers like a mother who cooks for the entire neighborhood of kids. What you end up with is a simple, but delicious taste of home. By the way did I mention she bakes her biscuits fresh every morning before she comes in?

If these dogs hadn't been so good, I would have said it was because they'd only been open for two weeks. They really had only been open for two weeks. While we were there, the health inspector stopped in for a surprise visit. This and plenty of customers kept the one woman running the place hopping! Wonder where "Papa" was. Papa's is a little place attached to an Exxon Station in East Flat Rock. Their address is listed as 104 West Blue Ridge Road, but most people pull in off Spartanburg Hwy. It's impressively spic and span inside, but I'm planning on stopping back in a few months to see if they keep it that way. You can go to a fine restaurant and maybe get a better burger, but if you just want a well-made burger, this is your place. I can’t wait to try the hotdogs!
The hamburger was handmade, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The bread was warm and soft and the condiments and makings were excellent.
Tater tot’s were spot on crispy. Even the diet Coke was not flat and cold.

Debbie makes the absolute beat burgers I've had anywhere. She beats Gordon Ramsey to hell when it comes to cooking. Polite, warm and welcoming, fair prices. I eat here everyday, and im a pickey eater

When I was a kid I stopped here every morning for a ham biscuit and a Mountain Dew. Great memories. Glad it's still around!!!!! XO
