This is my second time visiting this hidden gem. I originally found this restaurant by accident while staying at a nearby hotel. The first time I ordered beef empanadas and chicharrones. Both were extremely flavorful! Unfortunately they only sell the chicharrones by the pound. I only wanted one chunk because I came solo but I had to order a pound. It was way too much meat for one person. However the flavor was perfection. It tasted just like my grandpa’s. Today I traveled all the way from Arizona just to come back for some more beef empanadas. It hit the spot and I left happy. The workers are always nice and upbeat. The menu can be a tad confusing if you’re not a local and the food is a little pricey. The establishment is a tiny hole in the wall but that’s how you know the food is good. It’s always busy with locals. I recommend the visit.
Can't believe any low reviews on here. Some of the best food I've had in a long time
The first time I tried to go to LaGuardoa Cafe I got in town too late. This time I arrived at the airport at 6:30, was hungry and knew I could make it there. So glad we made it! We got the beef and pork with yellow rice. It was SO good. I also ordered a chicken and cheese empanada. Holy moly! They were gigantic, fresh and delicious. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. It's a small location, so not too many places to sit, but we got lucky. The prices were also very reasonable. Super happy I got there and recommend going to give it a try if you're in Queens near the airport.
It’s a small place, most people get food and take it to go. I usually stop here for some healthy, affordable food on the way to LaGuardia. Chicken with Rice is less than $15, and always available on the buffet and takes 30 seconds for them to plate for me, so I know I won’t be rushing for my flight!

We just landed at JFK Our son picked us up and said, "Let me take you guys to get some good Dominican 🇩🇴 food it was delicious 😋 I wish that all the restaurant owners open up branches where we live now in south Florida unfortunately isn't easy to find anywhere a place to eat good tasting meals
Delicious Spanish food for the price. Note that this isn’t a regular cafe, they specialize in Spanish food not coffee. Chicken and rice was good. Chicken was super tender. Juice was $5 and nothing special so I do not recommend that. Note that there is no proper menu and staff are a little difficult to understand if you are not Spanish, but they are nice.
If you’re reading this from the airport, worth the 20 min walk for food here if you have time. The best Cubano and Chicken Quesadilla I’ve ever had. Authentic Spanish food - this is where the locals go. Will be back.
Absolutely excellent meal. Fresh. Tastes like home cooked. Affordable. Clean restroom. Came here for luggage storage with Bounce, and am greatly impressed with the quality and taste of the beef stew and the chicken.
Food taste pretty good, with a variety of choices, vegetarians and vegans can also get something to eat from here since I saw some non-meat all vegetables plates in there.
They do deliver at a min of $10 which I didn't know until I checked their menu.
Conclusion: it's worth a try especially if you live around it.
Cheers!
Before flying out we stopped to get food and we were so pleased with this cute little restaurant. Food was delicious and inexpensive, the place and restroom were clean. The service(Rosa) was friendly and fast. It has a small seating area inside and outside as well. Is not fast food so food may take about 15 minutes to serve if is not available in the food bar. You can do to-go plates if rushing. Is easy to find parking and is 5 minutes from the airport.
