Doreen's Pizza

Order a 12" pizza for lunch. Told it would take 25-30min. I feel it should be no longer than 15min for a inside or carry-out order. I've worked at a pizza shop some years ago, I know how long it takes to make & bake a pizza. Pizza was good, although the cheese could go out to the edge to cover all of the sauce. Place was clean. One person was waiting for their order when I arrived. 2 more came in for take out orders & a family came in for a sit down as I was finishing mine. Heard a few phone orders called in while I was there. Good study flow of business coming in.

I order from Doreen's all the time... I gave three stars because of the food... Their food is always delivered hot and delicious.... But my last order was so disappointing, I had to leave a review. I spent $83 on my last order and the delivery guy Jeff forgot my pops. Mind you I also tipped him, because I believe strongly in it. I called and a young lady name Crystal was very rude and not very caring at all to resolve my issue. First she accused me of lying over and over that she spoke with the driver who really lied and said he gave me the pops, now don't forget this is a 83 dollar order.. So finally she said she will send him back, which he never did. I called a second time and now Crystal is telling me her and the driver called me and confirmed I had the pops, I told her no you didn't talk to me why would be calling back. Once again Crystal was very condescending and act like I was the liar, even when she look up the number of the person she spoke to and it wasn't my number she still denied it till finally she said I will send an order for two pops, which never came of course. So I had to call and get a refund on the pops before they closed... The purpose of my review is, if you a customer that spend good money with you, love your food, always should get good customer service. I spent a good amount of money on that order to be dismissed like that by the order taker Crystal and delivery guy Jeff....... I was truly disappointed

Waited 1 and 1/2 hours for pizza and got burnt pizza. Called back and they said it would be over 1 hour to get new pizza. Manager did not offer any thing in return. Just wanted the pizza back, To refund my money. Horrible customer service. Not really offering to fix it or make it a priority to get us new pizza. Manager names was Jessica. She said the owner " will call me back at sometime", but don't expect him to call you back tomorrow. Owner called us the same day and apologized and offered us a credit to make this right. Our family ordered again. And everything was great.

I love Doreen's food. They have a text club so I'm always on top of really good coupons and sales. I've had their pizza, wings and Philly steak and cheese. They also have a buffalo sauce that's hard to describe but absolutely delicious! I get that on the side with my sandwich and fries. You won't go wrong! Oh, if you plan on using a debit/credit card and you want your food delivered, you have to let them know you'll be using,"plastic" before you order. They'll run the card over the phone not when the driver gets there. Enjoy! They also have great chocolate chip cookies, soft and big!!

Very bad experience with an unprofessional manager. Message to the owner: if you care about your business, please address how your general manager treats your loyal customers. I grew up in Hegewisch and later moved to Dyer. I would tell people how nice it was to be able to order from my childhood pizza place. On Saturday, November 27, I ordered pizza for my family gathering, my brother found a long strand of hair melted in the cheese of 3 slices. We called and spoke to the general manager who was not apologetic. She said we needed to return the pizza for a refund and we were willing to do that if they sent someone. I asked to speak to the owner and she then gave the phone to an employee she must have asked to pose. And he said good news and bad news, good news I will get refund and bad news is I was never allowed to order from there again.. I found out he was an employee and asked him to leave message for the owner. It's been over 10 days, no call from owner for apology and still NO REFUND provided as I was promised.. so after 30 years of Doreen's being first choice for my family, will never order from either location again. There are so many great pizza options in the area, why bother with bad service and insanitary conditions?
