The Poachers in Metal Bridge is an absolute gem! This pub offers a delightful experience for both food and drink enthusiasts and train enthusiasts alike. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is impeccable, and the food is simply delectable. Sitting by the window with a delicious meal in hand while watching trains pass by is a unique and enchanting experience. I can't recommend The Poachers enough for a perfect blend of great food and captivating entertainment. A solid 5-star pub!

Went with friends on their friends recommendation and from start to finish the whole experience was a delight. Spacious character pub with first class service. The menu was extensive and varied. The prices were very reasonable and the portions generous. Absolutely everything was brilliant and we will return again soon.

We had a very enjoyable evening. The food was amazing, best meal out we've had in a long time. Freshly cooked, good portion size, we took the end home in a box. The salad was fresh and interesting with really lovely coleslaw. Meat was good quality, chips were lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of music too.

Visited here for our anniversary meal. A lovely pub and place to eat overall. We both had starters and had a parmo for the main. The chips were delicious and got loads of them! The parmo wasn't the best we've had but fairly nice. The chips made the meal though. It was very busy when were we here so highly advisable to book as a couple we past on way in must of waited around 40 minutes who hadn't booked. Will definitely return.

Decent food, fair portions as I upgraded my chips to sweet potato chips for less than £2 extra and they sent a sharing plate of them instead of a portion for one (but I can't complain, they were nice and everyone got to have at least some) and service was good. Only thing I can say is there were a few large parties of people in there when I was so it was louder than I think it would have been otherwise.
