Yamato Restaurant

Service was good, the atmosphere is somewhat on the dark side. The hibachi steak and shrimp was not very good, the rice was overcooked and had a burnt taste to it, the veggies, steak, and shrimp were not very flavourful. The shrimp was very very small and only a few pieces of both shrimp and steak. On the other hand the sushi was pretty good, we will only go back for the sushi and nothing else.

Found this place on line and wanted to check it out. Outside looked a little rough but went in. Staff was very friendly and seated us quickly. Our waitress was nice and help with the menu and took our drink order. The interior was clean and nice. The menu is well laid out with good selection of dinner options. We ask questions and she gave us suggestions as to what might be best. The wait time was no issue and gave us time to relax and enjoy our evening. The food was served hot and presented nicely. I had steak hibachi and was very tender. I was surprised that my box meal was much larger than expected. Glad I took her advice and not gone with the combo. Wow!! Overall we both agreed it was a very good meal at a reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly and I can say we will be coming back.
