Phoedin

Phoedin is located right where the Pinellas trail meets Dunedin. This is not a fancy restaurant. A perfect stop for lunch during a bike ride. Outdoor seating only, this cute little place is a diamond find. Very friendly staff and a small but delicious menu. Everything we ordered was great. Order at a window and relax while you wait, they have several tables set up. Fresh spring rolls with shrimp, beef pho, bah mi sandwich, even their bottled Kombucha, everything was delish! Can't wait to go again!

Some places are gems and some places could be if they fixed their issues. This is definitely more the later. The food is not bad not great but will hit the spot if you want pho. The main issue with the place is customer experience is just...weird. Not in a quirky or cute way but in a way that makes you a little uncomfortable. The first big issue is the menu does not seem to follow a linear train of thought. You sort of have to dart all over the place to understand what you are ordering. The second issue is the wait, I ordered 3 things and waited about 35 minutes. I left to run an errand and came back. Other people ordered after me and got food first, fried food came out before salads. It was wild. But that also means it is not a place you can stop for a quick lunch. The people working there were nice but also the person running food had no idea who to give it to so he would sort of ask everyone if they ordered whatever he was holding. Overall it was strange but ordering it Uber eats would handle 90% of these issues.
