wow, it’s really changed. the cocktails were terrible, way too bright for a speakeasy, horrible club music, and the bartender was pretty incompetent. something changed for the worse. do better.

Been a long time visitor to Duluth and have a family roots that go back decades - I never knew this existed until recently. I went there because I received a coupon when I stayed at the Endion Inn. It is a cool atmosphere, being the old city jail and the bartender made excellently crafted cocktail (relatively speaking for Duluth).
I know it has a whole speakeasy vibe going - but not the easiest place to get to and not much else nearby.

Big city bar in tiny Duluth. This place is fantastic. Wonderful tasting cocktails, an. Amazing look (down on the basement) and a cool vibe. They were short-staffed on a Friday night but attentive enough to make up for the delays in service. Would recommend to literally anyone. Even to my enemies, as cluing them in on such a great bar would lead to instant detente.
