Excellent food as usual from Famous Dave's. The brisket and ribs were spectacular. Service is fast, friendly and attentive without being bothersome. Food was out quickly and hot. Parking is a little tight. Nice fun place next door for the kids to play and the rest of Canal Park is very accessible.

A must stop for any BBQ fan! Dave has always been the most humble entrepreneur when it comes to barbecue restaurants. He has made sure that this location is top notch, everywhere from the inside decor to the wait staff to the food! Our meal was cooked to perfection with generous portions and it was even phenomenal the next day when we reheated our leftovers! Plus bonus feature... If one of the large ships is coming through the canal port area you get to watch them and hear the salute horns!

This brisket was pretty darn tasty. The beans are awesome. I hate cornbread and this muffin is the best ever. I was also was shocked seeing how it's a touristy thing. I did forget to order pickles. Next time.

Good gosh do they feed you here, and for what you're paying (not a ton) compared to what you're getting (a ton) you wonder how they stay in business.
Waitstaff is incredible. Food is incredible. Bring a wheelbarrow to cart your gut out after if you go whole hog on eating.
This place gets one minor knock, the parking to get in goes fast. Try them out if you like meat.

The food was great but our waitress was not.. She never checked on our table, we had to go find other waiters and waitresses to help us or send her over when we needed refills on drinks or to order. Sadly it was not busy-it just seemed like she did not want to deal with a big group. She told us there "are no lemons cut" when we asked for lemon water but then brought lemons in the drinks to her next table. It was a really sad experience when we were trying to celebrate my graduation with my family and half the time we all didn't have drinks... We thought eating out would be less stressful than having our own cookout but that wasn't the case with our server.

Jonathan Liesener is the ONLY reason this is a 5 star review, a true light of my day. My family and I came in and loved the smile on his face, his serving skills are substantial. If you ever come in to this place ask to be sat in Jon's section. Truly a wonderful server and great guy to be around. The food is GOOD, the serving from this guy is GREAT!

Probably the best famous Dave’s that we have ever been to, considering this is in a major tourist location I was pleasantly surprised.
Our server was friendly, attentive, and super helpful. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
