Located inside the Jusgo supermarket, this spot is surrounded by a few other vendors in the food court, but this is among some of the best ramen you can get in the Duluth area alongside Raku and Haru Ichiban. The appetizers are standard with other restaurants such as Takoyaki and Chicken Karaage which everyone loves. The ramen itself is pretty textbook and they have a ton of varieties, but it’s clear my friends and I have a preference for Tonkatsu ramen lol. All in all, if you’re looking for a extremely casual lunch/dinner spot for your family and friends, try this spot out !

Ordered the tonkotsu black, extra spicy. Presentation was great, smells amazing, but the taste is just okay. There was way too much oil and not enough noodles. Also after I finished everything in the bowl I had plenty of broth left over, I asked if I could order extra noodles and was told no you can't do that...

I’ve been to Kumai Ramen two years ago or so. Located inside an Asian grocery market. I never had the chance to grocery shop but I make the drive to their food court since the ramen price is great and has the same quality as most Ramen restaurants around. Plus I get to eat in peace without worrying too much about tipping a server. But today I ordered take out after getting off from work. I get to enjoy the ramen and squid balls at the comfort of home with a cold glass of beer. Cheers to the weekend!

The flavor is great & you get a large portion size of noodles. I would rate higher, but the chicken & egg were both cold. Also, there wasn't much chicken. It was maybe a little smaller than the palm of my hand.

I had a taste for some ramen the other day and looked this place up. Decided to give it a try and it was DELICIOUS!!! I got the fried chicken cutlet and garlic ramen meal and it was on point. The chicken was cooked juicy and crispy. The ramen was very tasty and had lots of flavor to it. Very fair prices and friendly service too!! It located in a farmer’s market food court. There’s other stores there too that I want to try out.
But this place right here, DEFINITELY on my favorite list and I will be visiting them again really soon. Make sure you go vie them a try!!

I'm very not Japanese so I had no idea what I was getting in the plates we ordered. My son ordered a chicken ramen but he said it had a lot of seafood in it. He's a foodie and I was impressed that he ate almost all of it including the seaweed. I tried to ask what was in the plates before we ordered but they didn't give me much of an answer. I'm sure for those who know better, this place is great.

I love the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen here. Some of the days I come here, it's okay, while others, it is excellent. Comparing to other ramen places, this one is one of the best places.

Came here base on great star rating. I usually go Umaido but its a bit of a drive for me and I was in the neigborhood of Kumai. Honesty I was not impressed. Too bland for me. Taste like instant. Umaido noodles taste fresh, these were the dried n boil kind. Broth was blah. Pork was just ok. Probably not coming back ever.
