Sitting on the Duck boardwalk eating hot and fresh duck donuts? Yep, doesn’t get much better than that! First time myself and family had ever tried Duck Donuts and they were delicious. Definitely a treat! The maple bacon and raspberry drizzle are a must!

My companion & I visited the original location of Duck Donuts in Duck on OBX. I ordered the lemon donut with cocoanut shavings liberally sprinkled. My companion ordered the blueberry crumble. Both were served warm. Both were delicious.
Pro Move: plan to use one of the plastic forks provided, the donut is served warm & falls apart.
You can dine outside on the Duck Boardwalk along the Currituck Sound, weather permitting...

Had to pick up a 12 pack before leaving. And from the original, no less. Great as always. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite but they're all great.

Nothing else like a Duck Donut...and even better when it's in Duck! The pictures speak for themselves. Amazing when they are hot and still incredibly good 2 days later. Don't be scared away by the lines, they move quick and do a good job moving people along....and I promise it's worth the wait!

Such a fun & unique donut experience! We really enjoyed the apple pie & blueberry donuts. Definitely want to eat them all ASAP as they don't keep as well as other donuts - so here's your excuse to eat all of them while they're still warm ;)

We have gone to Duck Donuts near us in Whitemarsh, MD quite a few times. However, there is nothing like visiting where it all began. So fresh, so warm, so good! Definitely a must whenever we visit OBX!

Even though there are multiple Duck Donuts locations across the Outer Banks, you have to go to their Duck location once during your stay. Not only is it fun for friends and family to see how they are made, but having them warm is a special treat. They even have benches and tables that overlook the sound and a nice boardwalk to walk off all of the calories.
