The food is great! Expect to pay around 20$ per person. It's a pretty small restaurant so if you have a big party you might have a hard time seating bit thats for like 4+. It's got a great vibe very conducive to good conversations.
Nothing better than an interesting soup to warm up a winter day. Glad we found Oolang Asian Cuisine on our visit to Dubuque. The Red Curry Coconut soup was full of inviting flavors - sweet+spicy curry, spicy fresh chili pepper, tart/sour of chinese sourkraut, sweet corn, bean sprouts and more on top of rice noodles.
My wife had the Miso Ramen which was also very tasty and full of noodles, mushroom, bean sprouts and more then topped with braised pork belly.
The owner, Ken, was welcoming excited to discuss the recipes.
I lived in NYC for 9 years. I've tried all the best Thai restaurants NYC has to offer. Oolong blows most of those places out of the water. Their Pad Thai is among the best I've ever had. And the service is incredible. 100% recommend!
I travel all over the country year round. I go out of my way to try interesting food everywhere. I grew up on New Orleans food. I’ve spent time immersed in great food scenes in numerous cities. To this day, Oolong is, maybe my favorite Asian fusion that I have ever had. Maybe I’ve just caught them at the right time or something. I’ve been there about a half dozen times now and every time has been exceptional. The layers of flavors and textures. The care and presentation. The friendly nature and professionalism of the ownership. These people are very very good. One of my surprising favorites in the entire country. Everything is phenomenal.
Quick, fresh and tasty take out. Spring Rolls good. Beef Basil stir fry very fresh and tasty. I especially love that the guy on the website (I assume owner, etc) is there on a Wednesday crushing service.
Suggestions- spring roll sauce is generic sweet chili sauce. Take that sauce base and make it better.
I asked for 'as spicy as possible.' The 'hot' isn't spicy to me. Add an option of heat level for my D-bag gotta have spicy type! I'd pay more!
With a few vegetarians in our group, Thai restaurants work out well for us and this one surpassed our expectations. Pleasant service, soft decor and very good food! The red curry, the pad Thai and the sake were all tastefully made and left us very satisfied. Would recommend to anyone in the Dubuque area.
