Food and service are superb!! Highly recommended. Enjoyed the chicken and waffles along with collard greens. Also the mimosa were perfect to compliment the meal. The chicken is very flavorful and fried to perfection. I’m so thrilled that I discovered this place. I will definitely go there more frequently to eat their food. The whole atmosphere was amazing.

On January 28, 2021, my birthday, was the first time that I’ve visited this restaurant. I found it to be impeccable, not only the food being so delicious but the customer service was an A+. I appreciated the owner being so personable and introducing himself. Our server, Margo was friendly and efficient. Alonzo brought my “birthday “ Tequila shot and was able to share the history of it. Margo brought us a large slice of chocolate birthday cake. We will definitely be back. I will also continue to tell others!

Short rib hash and salmon Benedict were both great dishes. Bloody Mary ($16 each) were very good. Downside, service was super slow despite being not busy. Also, I did not feel like this was a COVID friendly environment for me. Scrunched at our table, patrons walking around without masks, servers asking everyone to pass around their food and drinks.

The food and the customer service was amazing. Our server Jocelyn had amazing energy and personality. She recommended several things for us to try and everything she recommended was simply amazing. The manage Alonzo was outstanding. I watched him deliver food to several tables as well as mine and he was very personable as he engaged his customers.

The food was okay, I ordered the chicken and waffle. The waffle was soggy but the chicken was good. My waffle looked NOTHING like the waffle in other peoples reviews. The waitress mentioned to me TWICE that is was an upscale restaurant, as if I’ve never been to an upscale restaurant. MY FOOD WAS NOT UPSCALE. They sat us in the very back where no one else was sitting but I can only assume it was easy for them to watch us from that seat because that’s what they did the entire time.. literally! I don’t drink alcohol so I opted for the bottle water, the waitress kept coming over to our table to refill our cups like every two minutes, which was very uncalled for after only taking 2-3 sips. I’m not sure if she was trying to be being hospitable but it was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE especially since I kept looking around to see if they were at anyone else’s table that much.. and of course they were not! Then my friend mentioned that maybe they thought we were going to eat and run, tbh I just assumed they thought we weren’t gonna tip, but it would make sense that maybe they sat us in the back in the corner because they thought we were gonna walk out. In addition to that, some guy stood next to our table playing with receipts the entire 45 minutes we were there. No thank you, I’ll find another black business to support!
