Rarely do I wish there was a 6th star or that I could lower the ratings of past reviews because I feel a place deserves a higher rating than previous. 88 Bao Bao is just that. Hand made, home made, authentic, and delicious. In an area with no shortage of restaurants but desolate in terms of GREAT food, 88 Bao Bao stands out. Hand pulled noodles, beef rolls, soup dumblings, bao, steamed and boiled dumplings, beef noodle soup, and so much more. Its truly a gem and a place I legitimately crave.

Okay this beef roll pancake was amazing 5/5!! The meat was moist and the flavor was on point! The outside was perfectly crunchy as well. I got some steamed veggie 🥟 dumplings they were 3/5. I didn’t try the xiao long bao but it looked tasty as well!

OK. I HAVE BEEN HUMBLED. I came here once, my partner swore it was such a awesome place, we got some stuff to go and I just remembered it as slimy and lukewarm and blah, but that was to go. Last night we ate in and omg omg omg. I was humbled by the greatness of the soup dumpling! The kids loved to look at the preparation and there was just so much food! All of it so good!

Stopped by Sun around 2:30 after hitting the outlets. Easy parking and not crowded (we waited less than 5 min for a table to open up). You mark the items you want on the menu and order at the counter. We ordered the beef rolls (4.5/5, crispy and tasty but would like more cilantro), green beans (5/5, cooked perfectly), pan fried pork dumplings (3.5/5, ok but would try something else next time) and pork/shrimp shu mai (3/5, just ok). A great place to stop if you are in the area and don’t feel like the other chain restaurants nearby. We will be back and try a few other things next time.

Their Shanghai style dumplings are fantastic. The fillings are delicious and the dough is just the right texture. Each bite is an explosion of flavor in the mouth! The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and quick. I love to come here with friends and try out different varieties of dumplings. They have plenty of vegetarian options too. Highly recommend visiting and experiencing authentic Shanghai style dumplings at 88 Baobao!

Tasty dumplings in a variety of shapes and sizes including soup. The main drawback is that everything tastes the same; if you get pork filling in any different preparation, the flavor is identical. All the pork is the same. Very mono on the flavor profile. Would give 3.5 stars if possible.

We went mostly pork this time. We had pork Xiao long bao (steamed pork soup dumpling) handmade. This had a tasty soup base inside. fried pork bun, fried sesame scallion which seemed thick. We thought it was going to be thin. We Also had beef roll ,this was okay tasting but really couldn’t taste the beef. Cucumber salad this was quite cool and refreshing on a hot day. Also had PF chicken ( pot sticker), fried Lao mian noodles.. These last two items were good quality, not the best, but good. Overall, we enjoyed the Asian craving of food, since not much quality from our area. As always, post where ever your palate ends up taking you.

Small joint, seems pretty popular and I can see why. First, the XLB was pretty solid. Much nicer folding than other places I've been. Taste was fine. 4/5 Beef roll - 5/5. It was really crispy. The size is a little small compared to other places, but overall, would definitely order again. Pan fried bao - 3/5. It's fine. Nothing mind blowing. Fried rice - Pretty decent. Could be a little more flavorful. 3/5 Beef slices - it's the same beef that goes into the roll. Not much flavor, a bit dry. 2/5. Pass. Overall, price is pretty fair and the staff is friendly, despite being very busy. Would recommend.

This place is very popular and there weren't that many seats inside. We waited for about 15-20 mins when arrive at noon on a Saturday morning. The xiaolongbao and pork bun all taste good. The popcorn chicken has a great portion. The pan fried dumpling is a bit too oily.

Came for lunch and left quite satisfied. It's also conveniently located nearby the outlets so keep it in mind for a place to eat before/after you shop considering food choices at the outlets are abysmal at best. Everything we ordered was tasty! We began with the marinated cucumbers which were hearty and crisp. Everyone at the table enjoyed them! Next came the beef roll which was pretty good. The flavors of the hoisin sauce with the marinated beef and fresh burst of cilantro just pairs so well together. Although we couldn't taste the burnt bits it was a little awkward watching the chef behind the glass breaking off the burnt bits on the pancake before making it for us. Still, I do appreciate that everything is made to order. Onto the show stoppers - the XLB. I thoroughly enjoyed these juicy bois! The crab one especially had a very nice though subtle seafood flavor. The dumpling skins were remarkably thin, almost transparent on some pieces! The meat inside was tender as if it was braising for hours and the broth was unctuous. Quite the delicious bite! Rounding out our meal were the steamed chives/pork/shrimp dumplings and the pan fried pork buns. Between the two, the dumplings showed more finesse. The skins again were remarkably supple and generously filled with the meat and veggie mixture. The pan fried buns were a little too generous in size. You had to chew through a good amount of bread before you got to the soup and meat inside. The bottom were golden, but not evenly so. Total for lunch for 4 was $70. Can't complain there! However, I will say service (or lack of) was weird. When we walked in, the staff asked how many, sat us, and gave us a tick sheet. After marking it up, they refused to take it and asked us to line up at the register! Why sit us if you consider yourself an order first at the register type of place? Bizarre.
