Having lived in Manhattan for years, I am a bagel snob. I don't consider the large, doughy, round pieces of bread sold in most Bucks County shops "bagels." So, I was thrilled to learn about Bagel Barrel on FB. Manhattan 🥯s right on State Street in Doylestown! They are boiled before baking, as real bagels should be. And they are delicious 😋.

Small place but loaded with breakfast fares. Portions are generous..prices are really nice even though its in the center of Doylestown..small place..which has tables. We went on a Sunday morning which was crowded. But still I highly recommend it! People are nice and service is very good..you might have to wait a bit but its all fresh and hearty when brought to you! I highly recommend!

Great little shop…everyone posts on here that their eggs are microwaved and yes they are, buuuuut…they taste like regular scrambled eggs! Give them a try!

Great local spot to get breakfast. Bagels are made each morning and you can taste the freshness. One of the best bacon eggs and cheeses around. Staff is very friendly and the owner is always there working. Talk about a guy who just gets how to run a business and treat a customer. A must stop for breakfast.

Best bagels in all of bucks county! Really good bagels + spreads. Not a fan of the breakfast sandwich because of the eggs, would be so much better if they were not microwaved. Also no iced coffee and the hot coffee is lacking. Can't go wrong with any bagel and cream cheese!

I saw a long line entering the store so I’m assuming that it’s going to really good. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with garlic herb spread on an onion bagel. When I tasted it the spread was overpowering the entire sandwich. Could use a bit less spread since I barely tasted the bacon and cheese.

I had a toasted everything bagel with butter which was perfect. I also ordered a decaf coffee, but I was a little confused as to which one was the decaf since it was labeled regular but had an orange handle. My suggestion to the owner is to either move the orange handle or move the label that says regular. I ended up getting half caf which tasted excellent!

Not my favorite place for bagels but it is good. I don’t get egg here since I’ve seen them microwave it and it has a funky taste. Lot of bagel options and LOVE joes tea. I like my bagels more toasted so recommend asking to double toast if you’re the same!
