Valley View Saloon

Nice bar and good food. They have great burgers and the staff works hard. Great for beer and burger type meals. The rating is based on the the environment and food they create. The mixed drinks are not so good, they are too heavy on the mix and light on the alcohol. When pointed out to the bartender she did not make any effort to adjust it, and it was more than 1 mixed drink ordered from a group. Maybe that’s how they choose to take them and we have to have those elsewhere.

We stopped by the Saloon looking for a pet friendly location for lunch. This place fit the bill. Apparently during the winter months this place is the destination of choice. The outside seating is nestled behind the main building. The relatively new picnic tables (2 total) were just what we needed. The food was very good, the staff was friendly and the service was great. More importantly there was a decent beer 🍺 selection which included the best IPA on the continent: Heady Topper! I recommend this establishment when visiting the Dover, VT area.

Good food, good drinks, good staff! Always crowded, but well worth the wait as you will always get good pub food here. The bar is large and the seating is a bit tight - with the removal of the pool table there are now more tables for dining, but it still gets busy as this is the place to be for Après skiing as well as year round. Definitely worth a visit!
