Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

Yeah nooo. I’m good going forward with this restaurant I won’t be back. I ordered two full orders of chicken and cheese nachos. As you can see in my first few pics I can’t find the cheese??? So I went back to let them know and the guy explains they portion the cheese to fit the orders and the cheese is sitting at the bottom. So I explained well they must have missed adding cheese to this order??? These nachos are dry. There’s something at the bottom but surely was not portioned for a full order. Then he said I can purchase more cheese. Smh. I tipped when I originally purchased and regretted it after hearing that. I started to say apply that tip towards this order of cheese. I purchased the side of cheese and added it to the top of the order as you see in my last pics. Smh. I don’t like when my food isn’t right. Something as easy as this should not have been messed up.

This was my first time at Monterrey's and we went for my 3 year anniversary at work for lunch. Our waitress was really sweet, everything was out promptly and the food was delicious. I love tex-mex food, it is my favorite go-to, and I seriously think this might be my new favorite place to go. The salsa is great, it's got a hint of spice, and the queso was great! Those two things are very important and then when my food came out, it was like I was eating with my nose. It smelt SO good and tasted just like it smelt! 😋 I will definately be going back. I got a chicken/shrimp grilled quesadilla well done with a side of beans and I always love throwing off people when I order milk as my drink 😅

Been eating here for 20 years and have always enjoyed it. However tonight my husband and I went in and noticed that the menus were new. I assumed the prices had gone up a bit which I understand, pandemic and all. What I didn’t expect was the shocking amount the prices had been raised. My meal went from 9.99 to 13.99, that’s a 40% increase! $4 doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it starts adding up quickly!
