Stix And Cones

Nice to have a locally owned sandwich shop downtown. If you want a quick meal made to order, this is a great place. I had the grilled ham/cheese and a bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup, it was really good. It is also nice to grab a waffle cone of your favorite ice cream to go. The staff is cheerful and fast. You can’t go wrong at Stix and Cones.

Quick lunch advertised outside of an ice cream parlor?! Was not a mistake, and extra emphasis on the quick in regards to expediency of service. The club pictured is off menu and couldn't be finished in a single sitting by yours truly. Regardless, room was forced to be made for a banana shake and the massive straw made over indulgence seem like a commonality. The warmer offerings here are traditional lunch fare but wonderful, and make sure to leave room for what the entire business is centered around....the frozen confectionaries.

Was downtown and decided to swing in for a deluxe chicken salad sandwich. That's a really tasty Chicken Salad with bacon and lettuce, it was great. You can also get almost any sandwich in a cone. I know sounds crazy , that is until your try it, then you realize it's crazy delicious, especially the aforementioned chicken salad. Don't forget a side of potato salad like none you have had before. Then for dessert you can get an ice cream cone with a fresh waffle cone made right before your eyes. Imagine a waffle cone with cookies and cream and the cone is still warm. Now if you like REAL southern sweet tea, this is the place. i don't even think that Brett (the owner) realizes what great sweet tea he makes. Much better than other restaurants I've been to. The point is that if you haven't been downtown on foster street during lunch, be sure to go soon and check out Stix and Cones. You can thank me later.
