Basil Tree Ristorante

Obviously this place is super popular with sold out tables for hours. We were invited to dine at the bar and that was a great decision. Megan took care of us and made us feel at home, she is awesome. The food and drinks are delicious and the staff was very friendly. Megan even let us know there might be a tapas style dinning experience coming to the super amazing outdoor section. Would be so excited to try that and to rerun this restaurant again, thank you for a wonderful experience!

Very disappointed. Please don't call this a "Rib Eye Steak", at best this was an over cooked, tough piece of Rib Roast that was $28 without a side. Also try at least a little salt and pepper. Normally I would have sent it back, but we were there for a special occasion and didn't want to make a scene. I know I went to an Italian Restaurant, but a steak that is priced that high should at least be "good". Now let's move on to service. We were seated for about 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. As for the overall sevice throughout dinner, I would say it was bad. When you are paying for a meal that is this expensive, you shouldn't have to ask for another glass of water. At first I thought it was because they were really busy, but there were only 6 tables and 2 servers. It also appeared as though they had an employee who was just there to get drinks/bus tables. The food portion of this review is only about my meal, not anyone else's in my party.

Food is spot on tasty and cooked to perfection, esp the steaks...never anywhere else have I had such perfectly cooked AND tasty steak (Vesuvio or Gorgonzola style...). Staff is the best and always handle awkward situations with grace. Get the broccolini, healthy and perfectly compliments whatever they are serving. Wine is well curated and great bartending going on. My go to for casual is any of the great salads and appetizers (esp the calamari with peppers), or for a full on sit down dinner any entree on the menu will do. The best option in town, always.

Our server Alyssa was very accommodating and a spectacular server. The vodka gnocchi and the fruta de mer were delicious. We ordered the tiramisu and, as an Italian, it was almost perfect (could’ve used more cocoa powder). The experience and food were delightful. The service was exceptional. Will definitely go back for more date nights!
