Dexter Riverview Cafe

I came for lunch with hubby on Saturday during a Michigan game on a snowy day so the place was empty, although we arrived just around noon. Staff were all friendly and the place was roomy, neat and clean. Cute little downtown area of dexter and there some parkings available on the street and down the street not too far from the restaurant and it was free. I ordered crepes but they didn’t have the Macedonian nut crepe on the menu so I asked for a little customization. The order came fast and the staff were kind enough to accommodate my custom request. The food was okay but the crepes were like 5in long at the most, which was pretty small…. It was also greasy to where it looked almost like it was fried. My husband got two eggs with bacon and looked okay too but that was about it. He said the hash brown was made of frozen stuff and this food portion was relatively small as well. We both just ate fine but wasn’t fully satisfied with what we got. It’s quite a shame because the pictures looked so good and bigger portion, and the place looks cozy and cute. But for what we got and what we paid( about $28 with tip) I don’t know if I could recommend this place, unless I’m in the area during meal time or something. Service was great though so if you’re not a huge eater and more of someone who is looking for a place to just have a cozy meal, this place is a neat place indeed.

I and my granddaughter stopped in Dexter Michigan to see where the Encore theater had relocated to. While there we decided to try the Riverview Cafe. I love small town diners and usually order their Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, as a benchmark test for the restaurant. I found Riverview's dish to be great. My granddaughter's strawberry pancakes were also delicious. Wait staff was prompt and atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing.
