Was Headed down HWY 69 South & punched in Google maps for restaurant near me that serves breakfast after 11am and family tree Café caught my eye looked like a hometown good folks restaurant so I hit the start button and im glad I did. The parking lot was full so I was a little afraid I was gonna have to wait. When we walked in we were greeted immediately with a smile and a happy hostess said “2? Ill find you a table “ i was wondering how long we’d have to wait because The place was packed with the locals of this town. We only had to wait two minutes for them to clean the table. Our waitress Amber was a Happy Soul and was happy to see us as if she was expecting us all morning and glad we showed up ( wow thats refreshing to say the least. What a Great person to have working for you and representing you and your restaurant ) Our food was served within 15 minutes of our order. My girlfriend had the vegetarian omelette, I had the Greek omelette both were very good. If youre passing by and hungry make the stop you wont be disappoint especially if your servers name is Amber……. *My girlfriend loved the Hot Chocolate

The Clinton County Historical Society Archives has had our Holiday Luncheon at the Family Tree Cafe for 5 years now. (And what an appropriate restaurant name for genealogists!). The food is great and the servers are so nice and always willing to go the extra mile for us. They stand out and we appreciate them very much! Thank you!

Shout out to our server Parker. He tipped us off to the stuffed hash browns which is a dish I've been looking for my whole life and didn't know it
It's basically an omelet with no eggs .... genius
The cinnamon roll was sliced grilled and topped with cream cheese frosting that's not too sweet.
And a darn good cup of Joe!
We saw about 5 other things we wanted so we'll be coming back.

I've been going to this place for years and have absolutely loved it. HOWEVER... they've recently had a cook change and the food has gone way downhill. The food has been totally burnt the last few weeks. Love the staff, love the atmosphere but hoping the food goes back to what it's always been- really good.

If you’re in the Landing area go to The Family Tree cafe in DeWitt, a suburb just north of Lansing. I had probably THE BEST Veggie omelet I have ever had; stuffed overflowing with delicious fresh veggies. I recommend this place 5 Plus Stars!

Apparently they have recently changed owners! I have only been there twice, both times under the new owner. From what I understand it used to be a hole in the wall. Now it is borderline gourmet! I have not had anything that wasn't wonderful, None of the dishes you ask about reviewing are on the menu!

This is a diner, nothing fancy on the inside but the food was incredible. The steak n eggs were great. The bacon deserves separate mention. The potatoes were incredible. Can't say enough. The staff was super friendly too!
