I absolutely love this place. Food has aways been fresh. Shrimp is always a must. Bang for your buck. The only thing is the hours. Very short
I've been going to the Original Waves Inn since around January 2022. The Original Waves Inn have good food and their kitchen area is clean. Due to they having good food and having a clean kitchen, I travel from the Schaefer & the West Eight Mile area, passing by many other fish places, just to patronize the Original Waves Inn. Again, the Original Waves Inn have good food and a clean kitchen.
Tried this for the first time and the food is amazing. I got the catfish dinner with yams and fries. The fish is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It practically melts in your mouth and it's delicious. Much better than the catfish I've had at other places. The yams were also really good! I'll definitely be going back when I'm in the area!
Thee best fried catfish ever! I like their catfish so much that I never get to the bread. I make sure that it's my last stop on my way home so that nothing interferes with me eating the fish while it's still piping hot. The seasoning is soooo good. I have been going to The Original Waves Inn for almost 20 years. Someone in the family needs to open a location on East 8 Mile... east and west locations.

Really good food. I bring my sister here every time she comes home from Vegas. The best Catfish in Michigan! The Catfish pieces are huge, the potato salad is really good, my Mom loves the Spaghetti and the shrimp are big and cooked perfectly. You will be in for a real treat if you're going here to eat. It NEVER disappoints.
