There was a death of a friend and I was looking to get pita wraps or something to that effect to send over to the family. When I searched for "Pita shops" I ended up with the number to this restaurant. My call was answered by Alex who provided, not only information but, advice for sending the best gift for the situation. This young man was VERY interested in making certain that I received what I wanted and needed.
After we had decided on the best option and we were preparing to place the order, I realized that THIS "Blimpie" restaurant was over 30 miles away from me! I apologized to Alex and he proceeded as if there were no inconvenience at all...AND...even helped me beyond that ... in order to best insure that I was going to be happy with what I ordered...no matter where I ordered from!!! Now, THAT was incredible. When I called back the next day to tell his manager about what a fine gentleman and employee he had in Alex, he proudly told me that Alex was his son, to which I replied..."Well done Dad!". The manager "Nick" told me that they pride themselves on their genuine desire to provide the best they can for their customers. Somehow, I believe him. Thanks both Nick and Alex for a job well done!
This is a timeless place I re-discovered this year after a hiatus that predates covid. Nick, the owner, hasn't changed in kindness and enthusiasm. He had a heartwarming story to share how the community supported him during the pandemic. If you appreciate a down to earth freshly prepared Blimpie's sandwich, Nick and his crew will make you feel at home
Delicious and fast subs! Even the 6 inch subs filled me right up. Will have to try their soups next time!
Edit: Changed my review to a 5. The main cook behind the counter has one of the best personalities I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. I will return back to this location just to see his smile and have some of the most well made sandwiches I've had in a long while.

They are always very fast and provide great customer service.
Can't say enough great things about this place! Excellent food at very affordable prices, and unparalleled service. This was my favorite place to eat all through undergrad, and now I catch myself willing to make the drive back to campus often for one of Nick's famous subs. Highly recommend!
Great place for a quick bite. The owner is very friendly and the food is amazing! They also offer halal options which is a plus!
I have been coming here for YEARS and the quality of the sandwiches are great but also I love the owner because he makes you feel like family.
This place is a true underrated Detroit Gem. The man that runs the place is always extremely friendly and smiling. I believe his son also works there and is also very friendly, every time I’m there he knows at least 3-4 customers in lines “usual” order. Come for the great sandwiches but keep coming back for the people.
