The River Bistro is a stylishly relaxed environment with a warm and gracious DJ that curates soulful classics (Frankie Beverly, OJay’s, etc.) The staff works hard to provide a welcoming experience and it pays off - my family had nothing but positive things to say. The food is richly different and represents the spices, seasonings and flavorful food from the Afro-Caribbean. I highly recommend this place: amazing food; staff and dining experience!
Before I made it in, I was caught by the art murals. Very artistic and much flavor. Only to be continued once I walked in. Done with a personal touch and much love. The staff was very professional and welcoming. I needed help in selecting my food. The sugestions the young lady made turned out to be delicious. Jerk ribs, Three cheese scalloped potatoes, rice medley and pomegranate lemonade.. I also ordered the fish. You know it's good when you don't have to add salt or pepper.
Comfortable setting. Cloth napkins...nice. An additional area in rear, which will be nice for private parties.
This will be where I learn Jamaican flavor...I plan on tasting everything!
Finally found a seafood joint worth hitting!! We ordered the Friday special (40 shrimp for $9.99) with fries and a 3 piece perch sandwich.The food was ready on time for pickup and was still hot once we got home. One reason I really enjoy their fish is because of the freshness of it. The meat has a good taste and texture.
I've been going here for years especially when I'm in the area the prices are decent and the food is great
Good fresh fish, I love the steamed vegetables and shrimp bowl it’s the only place I know that does that.
Good food love the mussels clams & crawfish definitely will be eating there again
I visited Metro-F&S several times during recent trip to Detroit,Michigan. My Aunt Mary Loves the Catfish,LP Seasoning.
I prefer the White Fish &/ or Salmon w/ Lemon Pepper Seasoning.
