Great coffee and other beverages. Funky names, place settings, and playlist. Minimalist interior decoration which gives the place a warm and comfy ambience. Friendly staff and excellent quality of beverages. The Brownie A La Mode with vanilla ice-cream is delicious.
This outlet has definitely made a name for itself I’m Midtown, becoming one of the most popular coffee shops in Detroit. They roast many of their beans in house, and they also specialize in pour overs. I was lucky enough to grab a seat before it got too busy after ordering. I had the honey lavender latte, which wasn’t too sweet nor burnt. Later, I had a cup of their tomato soup, which came with baguette slices. To be honest, I really didn’t enjoy the soup. It was chunky (the onions and tomatoes not chopped well nor puréed) and was overly acidic (possibly from being over-stewed). It was a bit difficult for me to finish it. I suppose I’d only recommend the coffee or brews here, as it’s best to grab food from elsewhere.

It was packed during our visit, which means that they are doing something right. According to GLC Roasting Company, they approach coffee
...this place is on another level. This isn’t just another bar with trendy city cred and equal parts hipster and booster appeal. (It is both of those things, but also more.) It is a place to communicate and commiserate, to caffeinate and congregate, to imbibe and indulge. To work. And also play
