Ordered BBQ pork with rice and Duck Soup. Both were amazing. Pork was juicy with nice crisp edges.
We are frequent customers and Le's is simply the best! We have lived all over the USA and eaten some very good Chinese BBQ during our stays, but Le's is constantly the best. Highly recommend the BBQ duck, Char Siu pork, roast pork meals with rice/veggie, and the house lo mein. It's the only place in the DSM metro we will order lo mein. The noodle soups are tasty too, but cannot speak to anything else. The above are all so good those meal are what we always order.
Excellent food, the best char siu and roasted duck in Des Moines. Also the best Chinese food in Des Moines, in my opinion.
The place is carry out only. I recommend calling ahead of time to place your order. Parking lot is quite difficult to navigate, too.
All in all, highly recommend!
We visit Le's once every week because it's very rare to find such an authentic Chinese rotisserie restaurant in the Mid West. Their roast ducks are very authentic. The sauces are delicious, too. They also have some hidden items on the menu that you have to check the availability with the owner. Those duck wings are amazing.
Great spot for Chinese BBQ! We had 1 order of BBQ pork and 1 order of tender pork. The regular BBQ pork is what I've seen called crispy skin pork at other places and the tender pork called char siu. Both were perfectly tender and very flavorful (I prefer the char siu.. because crispy pork skin. The veggies on the rice were still nice and crisp cooked in a light sauce. The eggrolls were also very good and freshly fried giving the right balance of crispy and chewy.
Finally made it to Le's Chinese BBQ! Lived up to the hype! Service was fast, friendly, and good. Of course I had the duck which was so flavorful. Juicy and tender. Wish I had a better word other than flavorful to describe it. You should just go in and see for yourself!
Tried all their food and it is really great! My faves are egg drop soup, crab rangoon, crispy pork with rice and fried rice!
Very good lo mein, fried rice and duck noodles soup. I think they have the best Chinese food around Des Moines area.
