A little awkward to get into with the construction going on, but worth it. My family of 7 ate enough and still had a take home box for $50. I had the Philly, wife had the Chicago dog, kids had hamburger, grilled cheeses, and regular dog. The potato chips are awesome and the potato salad and baked beans are average. Glad we chose to give it a try.

Ordered a polish sausage and Chicago dog to go. The bun was a bit hard. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was a very casual place.

I've enjoyed Chicago Dog at it's various locations for the 30 years now. They make a great namesake dog! The latest location is a little thin on atmosphere and could carry a root beer or Dr. Pepper, but they're still doing the food right.

Best hot dog you'll find in the 515. Also, reasonable prices and a good selection of other lunch style sandwiches. I've already been twice since I discovered it a couple of weeks ago and I'll definitely be back!

Great service and honestly it tasted good, but an italiain beef from Chicago gets "baptised" in juice. It should fall apart in your hands before it reaches your mouth. When we asked for more juice they wanted to charge us 80 cents. This is definitely not a Chicago Itailian beef. I'm sorry, but I was dissapointed.

Wife picked up a gyro and a beef tonight. As Chicago natives, we've gotta say this is the best! My beef blew Al's and Portillo's out of the au jus.

In Des Moines you need a Chicago Dog. Great buns, tasty dogs, they are great. Quick service, clean restaurant, easy to get in and out. Love 'em.

Just discovered their Douglas Ave store at 70th st in Urbandale and found it to be marvelous. I had a dog with mustard, onions and kraut and it was the best. The roll almost outshined the dog! Will absolutely be back.
