The cheese shop has always been in the top 5 of my favorites places to eat. The wine selection exceptional with knowledgeable staff to suggest something new and perfect to pair with my scrumptious toastie or my favorite the olive tapenade with quark chesse!!! When it was announced they would be opening the cheese bar I knew I had to go!! I ate there yesterday afternoon and there was no disappointment. It is everything I wanted and more. Beautifully decorated, bigger space, all the great cheese, wonderful food, wine & beer selections and still kept that great feeling of community and closeness. Bravo cheese mongers, bravo! Plan on seeing me at both locations for years to come!
This might be my new favorite place. The food is 5 star quality at a very reasonable price. They have a beer and wine selection to die for. You are guaranteed one of the best dining experiences DSM has to offer.
This was such an amazing experience. The wine selection is wonderful. The craft beer selection is a welcome surprise. All the staff are incredibly friendly and have great suggestions. We got the special: Rush Creek and Jam and it did not disappoint. Our server and the chef were excited for our reactions after trying it. It was perfectly curated and in hindsight I wish we would’ve skipped dinner elsewhere to eat the full size option of this snack. 100% would travel back to Des Moines to relive this moment.
I had the Cuban. I can honestly say I've never had a grilled cheese sandwich like that! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent ambiance. Just a cool place to hang out.
We ALWAYS have a good experience coming here. Wine selection 👌🏼 cheese boards 👌🏼 fondue 👌🏼 and an extremely comfortable atmosphere. The waitress was attentive just enough to let us have a nice private evening. We plan to come back lots and always recommend to all our friends. LOVE this place
Absolutely delicious! There wasn't one thing that we ate that I could have said was my favorite because all of it was amazing. The presentation is very fun and enjoyable! Staff is very knowledgeable on all of the menu items. Very fun atmosphere. We will come here again.
Best food in town! Can you say charcuterie?! Plus 30 draft lines and $6 wine by the glass all the time. Bubbles and Bites happy hour 2-5 with $5 glasses of sparkling wine and $5 snacks that change every week. See you there!
I love this place, sat at the table next to the kitchen and the guy that works behind the counter is hilarious!
The Cheese Bar is good. Food is well made and presented well. It seemed that staff really knew their cheeses and meats. The service was fast and friendly. The only weird thing they do is serve beer in a wine glass! I'm a blue collar guy who, when he pays $6-8 for a beer wants a full pint of beer! I don't think that's too much to ask for... 😁
Wow! I wanted Famous Dave’s but it was her turn to pick tonight so we tried the shar-coot-terry place I found, that she wanted. It was fantastic. Charlie was also great. (Yes I know how to spell charcuterie but wanted to gave some fun!)
