Stopped in Angelo's with friends around 9 pm on a Friday night. Luckily for us it was Happy Hour and oysters were on sale for $1 each. Quite a deal compared to other restaurants in Denver. They were big and plump and juicy and a great way to start the evening! They also had baked oysters which looked fantastic but raw is my favorite way to go. We also shared the The Californian pizza which is their version of a Veggie pizza. It was loaded with veggies all cooked perfectly. On ours, we ordered extra sauce, (something I always do. What can I say, I like a saucy pizza) add spinach and add jalapenos. We couldn't have been happier! Of course we enjoyed a myriad of cocktails and they were well made and tasty too. The lighting, temperature and music ( really great music, Classics R&B) made the experience exactly what you want in terms of details. It should also be noted that I'm picky about where I sit (looking for great sight lines) and the staff was happy to work with me until I was satisfied. All in all we closed the place down and loved every minute!

Angelo’s so SOO good!! The Happy hour can’t be beat. FYI: Happy Hour Martini’s are an added $3 coming in at $9. The 8” pizza is enough for 1 person. It was very tasty. Crust was a little too thick for my liking but I would order it again. Our bartender was so busy and she kept the entire bar moving. She did an astounding job!! We can’t wait to come back!!

Excellent Italian dining experience. Tasty traditional dishes. Good and attentive service. Bar area is busy and lively. Note that garlic bread, which could use more garlicky seasoning, was served with our dinners, so may not need to order it separately as an appetizer. Definitely worth a trip to perhaps try one of the many pizzas next time.

BEST OYSTERS In Colorado! Hands down and the cocktails are amazing I love the service here everyone is always so friendly even if the service is a little slow. But above all if you’re looking for delicious oysters with a variety of flavor this is the perfect spot! Highly recommend

Food is good for Italian food in this area. It was crazy busy here and the wait is insane. We got the burrata which was delicious (the bread was not the best), the arancini which were also delicious, and pizza. The pizza is okay, but not authentic Italian personal pizzas. The price of the pizza is a bit high, but worth it if you need a decent pizza spot! Service was decent, they were so busy though you could tell everyone was a bit frazzled.

Love coming to their Monday happy hours. The best place is to sit at the bar. The mussels are fantastic and come with a good amount. The fried ravioli is exquisite. The crab slider is also great. Can get pretty busy so come before the dinner rush.

I went on a Monday. The chargrilled oysters were great. The flavor was wonderful. They were sold individually or by the dozen. The Monday special options were clams or mussels with pasta and a salad.

Friendly staff. We started with a house salad and garlic bread with marinara. Bread was delicious and fresh. I didn't realize the original oysters were cookied and filled with heavy cheese. I was not a fan at all. I ordered the lobster gnocchi, which was delicious! My partner ordered the salmon which was incredible!

Sat us around 8:30 so we made it to their second round of happy hours (9pm to close)!! Dollar oysters are hard to beat - didn’t end up with food poisoning either hehe. We tried a few of the grilled oysters as well. The chargrilled special at time had lobster(?) but it was too salty for us. Other than that, we love the rest. We shared the Apache Rose Peacock pizza. No room for dessert.

I had incredibly delicious food here. My only complaint is that the back patio was inaccessible when I went. The main reason we picked Angelo’s is because all of the searches said there was patio seating. There were only 2-3 tables available in the front which faces busy 6th street. I really liked the food, however in an effort to practice covid safety as cases rise, I would only dine there again if more outdoor seating is available.
