Very good food. Attentive and friendly staff. Mark, owner, is awesome. Loved the gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options. Delicious flourless chocolate cake. Highly recommend. Hoping to eat there again before leaving Denver.
Great food, good service! We came in a sat night and played Cards Against Humanity after dinner. The wine was super good and affordable. The waitress let us stay as long as we wanted. Great atmosphere and great drink specials, especially for the weekend.

Route 40 is a staple on Colfax. I had the best salad with shrimp today, and my bf had a burger — which I've heard him rave about many times. Love the owner as well. Good people and good food! The gluten free chocolate cake is also fire!
Great atmosphere & food. Went on a Sunday for lunch. They had a drag queen performing & singing. She was great! I had pancakes with blueberry compote. Delicious! A friend had shrimp & grits. Fun time!!!
Fun, great service, good food! Route 40 is connected to the Tattered Cover bookstore. Walk through the coffee shop to find the door. Covid closed this space and it's re-opened now! Give it a try!!

We wandered in this past Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of a busy kitchen. The restaurant was filling up quickly but we managed to snag a outdoor booth.
We ordered the tator tots, vegan tacos (with added fish) and corn beef hash. The tater tots were seasoned perfectly with a delicious mustard dipping sauce. My wife loved her fish tacos but the surprise hit was my corn beef hash with perfectly poached eggs! The hash was simply delicious with outstanding flavor. I’ve always loved breakfast for dinner and Route 40 nailed it!
This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. It’s prices are very affordable and fair. We can’t wait to go back!
Burger was juicy and incredibly delicious.
Had time for a drink before my takeout order was ready, so ordered the Red Coach. Drink was strong and gave lemon drop vibes (with a bit of blueberry) 😋
Open on #bombcyclone 2019. Rigatoni is delicious. Good sized portion. Polodori sausage is plentiful and just the right savory to go with the tomatoes sauce and fresh grated cheese. Solid as hell food from a hard working chef. Chef sat a few guests and touched tables. Seems like a good belly up bar spot but grabbed a booth to get comfy. Bunch of families rolled in and overheard folks commenting on how much they enjoyed their burger, salad, etc.
Service was just right. Glad to finally eat here.
Ambiance.. just stop commenting on ambiance of restaurant. No one should care about this.
Out for supper with my husband.

Suddenly a lovely stranger reading her book at brunch offers to take your family's photo when she over hears you haven't been all together in awhile. :) You dive into a phenomenal curried chicken salad just as you over hear your husband throw his favorite French fries in the world under the bus for the ones served up today. They served up relaxing shots of whiskey to sample as we were serenaded by a Gorgeous drag queen from the bar behind us on a chill Sunday afternoon. This place was amazing! Seriously loved their food. I am a harsh critic when it comes to food, but this could easily be my new go to! The owner was super nice. Got my food to go and I was seriously worried that it would be soggy by the time I got home. Nope. Still perfection! And the rosemary fries were seriously the best I've ever had. Will DEFINITELY be going back! If you're in the area (or even if you're not) go and enjoy some seriously great food. The staff was just as great! Thank you, Mark! I will be back with my husband for more of your delicious food!
