We've driven by this place many times saying we need to try it, simply because of its name. We finally did on December 16, 2023.
Our server's name was Meagan. She was excellent. We were greeted and seated quickly. Meagan was not only quick to get us water and take our order, she did it with a great smile and attitude.
Meagan checked on us often to make sure that we were having a good experience.
We started with their fried pickles. We're not huge fans of pickle chips but these were a pleasant surprise. Thick cut with breading that stayed on even after dipping them in the tasty Chipotle Ranch dip! They were also good on their own and we ate them all. (See the pictures attached).
I got their chicken tenders and my wife got their fish tacos. Both meals were delicious! We were pleasantly surprised and left full and happy. I gave Meagan a $30 tip in hopes to make her day. We would recommend trying this place and you'll be lucky to get Meagan.
Stopped by this restaurant near the University of Denver campus on a Monday evening for an early dinner. We were greeted right away and seated at our table without any wait. Menu has a good variety of food items and they have daily specials as well. We had a Reuben sandwich and a Cobb salad that came to about $30 plus tax and tip. lots of seats and tables, and parking is free although the lot is not that big. Give it a try!
Classic bar and grill for DU hockey pre-game beers and burgers. Fun atmosphere, good food, and friendly patrons
This place has a great atmosphere. It probably is oriented to younger folks, so the music is a little loud. But it was fine. All of the staff was helpful and up beat. It was cold on the day we were there, but we could see that in good weather the place would really open up! Now for the food!! We had nachos for an appetizer that were amazing. We all (four of us) enjoyed our entrees. The burgers were awesome. Give it a try sometime.
5 stars for a sports bar? We’re regulars before DU hockey games. Honestly, the food is far better than one would expect. Great fish tacos, but the whole menu is good. Never been disappointed. Happy Hour 3 to 6 pm
We enjoyed Spanky's. The drinks were made right and came out fast. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Monte Christo and Burger Patty Melt. Both were delicious, hot, and gooey. Great experience!
Update: This place was so yummy I brought back my family! The huevos rancheros was fantastic, and my teen loved the wings! Loved that you can order breakfast for lunch.
I was needing a healthy cold lunch on a very hot summer afternoon and this place delivered! I had the superfood salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and it was one of my favorite salads.
The staff was friendly and the food came out very fast. Highly recommend eating here!
I will always love this place! Great food, location, and staff. They have the best unlimited wings on Tuesdays and one of the best burger combos on Wednesdays. Absolutely one of my favorite places and I intend to come back all the time. It is also perfect for dates on a budget. The staff is always friendly and some have even recognized me as a regular!
Although, I will always suggest going at less busy times for it can get really loud. Also, it can get pretty crowded even with its ample indoor seating, especially during COVID. They have installed these screen shields between tables so that’s really nice. Since it is near a college campus, beware of one or two huge groups of students coming later but otherwise nothing to worry about.
Cool little local joint with tons of character. Vibrant vibe, great food and drinks are plentiful. Super affordable and will be your next go to spot.
Definitely gives a nice little dive bar feeling to it. I got the fish tacos an they were delicious
