Best Mules in town! Great selection and they really pack a punch! Tried the spinach artichoke dip - it was top notch. Also tried the sriricha sesame wings and...wow! Crunchy spice combo!
This place was awesome the food was great came out fast and fresh. Great lunch hour spot
$1 taco tuesday. Cork Dartboard and rotating tap. The atmosphere is very quiet and dimly lit. The upstairs is a chill spot with darts, shuffleboard, and air hockey.
Great bar for grabbing a drink! The place itself has a really cool, historical vibe (walking ghost tours are often seen coming in and heading down to the basement). I was also completely surprised by how great the food was, if you're planning on settling for bar food, definitely check this place out! Prices are reasonable, the bar is huge (couple big TVs for watching games), and the bartenders and servers are all friendly. One of my favorite spots for a low-key drink and some food!
I was very happily surprised at this place. It wasn't too busy when we went, so there was a nice, quiet and empty ambiance. The building dates back to the late 1800's so there is an inherent historical and cultural intrigue to enjoy there. (It once served as a saloon and a brothel).
I've seen food complaints on the other reviews, but still give the Vault a try, as the waitress indicated that the menus we saw were only a few days old, and we all found our meals to be quite delightful. The buffalo burger is especially fantastic, definitely give it a try.
The service was top notch, our waitress Hillary took very good care of us and treated us with genuine kindness and hospitality and exhibited that she loved her job. You'll find quickly that she's a true southerner.
Perhaps the icing on the cake was the tour. The Blake Street Vault has some very rich history, and if you ask to check things out downstairs (Hillary guided us on a short tour), you'll learn some fascinating things about the iconic establishment, including the creepy lore of the Vault after which the place is named.
I am making judgement purely on the drinks here. I have not tried the food - but in an area where there are so many great restaurants, I go here for drinks only. That out of the said, this place always has a great selection of beers on tap that make for a great happy hour!
The primary reason for 5 stars however is in their Old Fashioned. A year ago I would have passed on this drink at the Vault. I tried one (two actually!) recently and the improvement is remarkable!! This is an amazing drink here, made exactly as they should be with nothing unnecessary added. The blueberry on the stir stick is a nice touch, though, that makes it unique to the Vault. This is a dangerous place to have nearby to work - I can see myself being more willing to go here for happy hour with the recent improvement to their cocktails!!
Came here for the ghost tour. Very interesting place! Highly recommend the food. Good prices.
This was their first year dealing with the gabf crowd so service was a little spotty. We had a waitress when we first sat down and then no one came to our table after that. Later on, we were told they don't service the tables so I guess the first server did us a favor. But, it would have been nice to know that we needed to go to the bar. It was nice to find a place that wasn't packed after the beer fest.
This is one of my favorite Denver bars. They have a good selection of drinks and are known for all of their different mules. There is also some great history that goes with this building and some good ghost stories.
One of the better burgers on the Mall (which is damning it with faint praise, but it really is a decent burger). The fries are pretty awful - soggy and salty - but the burger itself was nicely made, with a fair stock of veggies piled on. The roll was spineless and sogged out before the second bite, but good luck finding anywhere in Denver where that isn't true. The place itself is a nice old saloon, with comfortable booths and friendly, helpful service. Just ignore the crowd; it's the same cut-and-paste bros-and-yuppies group you'll find everywhere in LoDo. Been here twice so far, and I'll be coming back.
Great food and drinks at good prices. Service is friendly, if not a little slow when they're slammed. Really cool history, as the building is one of the oldest in Denver. I will definitely come here again.
Solid LoDo joint with good bar food and lots of drafts. Close to Coors Field.
