What an unassuming but delicious spot! We started with Roti and loved the texture of the pancakes. The Indonesian fried chicken was tasty but probably wouldn’t order it again. Chili Ayam Malaaca (chicken with peanuts) dish was amazing! The sweet and tangy flavor left me craving more. Absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
Everything we ordered was great! I am Indonesian, all the foods were definitely authentic, reminds of my my hometown Jakarta. Also, my hubby is an Executive Chef & his mouth was on fire 🔥 We are from Texas but definitely will come back when we are in Colorado
I placed a large catering order through Jaya and was very impressed by everything! The food was delicious, well packaged and stayed warm for hours. The team at the restaurant was so easy to work with and helped us throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend!
This family-run restaurant isn't your typical Asian food joint - it's one of the few places in the Denver metro that offers authentic Southeast Asian cuisine (Indonesian, Singaporean, Malaysian, etc.). I got the Hainanese chicken and my partner got the Panang Curry. Both were delicious and left us wanting to try more of their dishes next time. We also got the Mango Sticky Rice - my personal favorite SEA dessert - yum! Our server was very attentive and kind as well.
note: they have some great, affordable lunch specials on weekdays (though we went on a Sunday)
Alright, I'm done mincing words here.
Jaya is my favorite restaurant.
Not just in Denver.
Not just in Colorado.
But everywhere.
Anyone looking for an adventure for their taste buds must go here. Nothing I've ordered here has been short of amazing. Unbeatable flavors and selection of dishes from all over Southeast Asia, including plenty of options for vegetarians such as myself.
1000% recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is easily my favourite place in Denver for some of the more uncommon Asian cuisines, specifically Singaporean, Indonesian, and Malaysian. It's actually the only place in the city where you can get Roti Canai and Laksa!
The dishes are truly authentic, packing heaps of flavour and fresh ingredients. Portion sizes are solid, it's likely you'll have leftovers to take home!
The staff are super attentive and friendly. They're more than happy to explain the menu if you're unfamiliar with the dishes.
JAYA IS PHENOMENAL!!! I cannot recommend this spot enough. My family and I had the pleasure of living in Singapore for a couple of years, and we fell in love with the flavors of Southeast Asia. When we moved back home to Colorado, we were so sad because we recognized that there were so many incredible dishes that we would probably never find here - and then we found Jaya! Every dish we have tried there is just fantastic - spot-on authentic recipes that are clearly made with pride. And if the food wasn't enough, we love that it's family-owned and run. The owners' son, Kent, has always been our server, and he is SO good at what he does! We want for nothing when Kent is our server - like, he honestly spoils us, and he is simply a joy to talk to ;) And Kent's father is in the kitchen cooking the incredible dishes we get to eat. When you eat at Jaya, it gives you a real sense of home. It's simply wonderful. Thank you, Kent and your parents, for the incredible memories we've made dining with you - and we can't wait to make more memories in the future!
The food here is absolutely fantastic! Both of the entrees we ordered to go were beautiful and super delicious. Their Hainan chicken was amazing and the sauces to pair with it were superb. My partner is from China and was really impressed with how well they made it. We’re looking forward to trying more of their food, and would highly recommend this restaurant! Don’t miss it!
I ordered the singapore curry laksa noodles and they were delightful! Anytime it's cold and I'm craving noodles and soup, this dish always comes to mind. I don't eat seafood that much, and I have never had scallops before so I wasn't sure how this dish would turn out, but the seafood complimented the curry so well! This place has so much variety as well, would definitely recommend!
I don't even know where to start. I am legitimately astounded at finding this gem here in Denver. This is quite literally the best Malaysian & Singaporean food I've had in my life, outside Malaysia and Singapore. They are so friendly, and love to answer questions and strike up conversation. They also are happy to cater to dietary preferences, like vegetarians or vegans. It is clear to me that this family puts immense passion into creating a wonderful experience here at Jaya. This place isn't just a gem for Denver, it would be among the best in NYC, where I lived for half a decade. I can't recommend it enough. 5 stars.
Highly Recommended: Roti Canai, Tofu Malacca
