Brazen Neighborhood Eatery

So, I don’t usually do negative reviews because there are too many people out there that ONLY leave negative reviews. I like to leave a review when I’ve had SPECTACULAR food and service and this is definitely one of those times. My husband and I wanted to go somewhere to share some apps and dinner. Brazen is close by and we hadn’t ever tried it. We walk up and get seated outside in a lovely patio area. The hostess was lovely and our server was too. We ordered the house made burrata which was delightful. They make a wonderful pesto and the crostini’s aren’t overly hard which was delightful. 5/5! We also East got one of their signature cocktails to start. We loved both of them. We then ordered the oysters and the steak to share. The oysters were very good, maybe a little heavy on the soy in in the ponzu sauce but delightful none the less. By that time we needed another drink for the entree and I ordered the gundlach bundschu red blend (anything from that winery is amazing and I was delighted they had it on the menu) and my husband order an old fashioned. Both delicious. After a little bit the hostess (possibly manager) came out and apologized for the wait we were having for our steak. She said they needed to re-fire it because of some mishap but they were going to be sure to send us the perfect steak. She offered an app in the meantime. THAT IS SERVICE! I don’t care if something ones wrong in the kitchen, it happens!! but it shows real service when the staff is proactive and communicates what is going on because when you don’t it’s frustrating to the customer and this staff is obviously very professional and understands communication is key! I really appreciated that. 10/10! So we got to try their deviled eggs which were spicy and delicious. And then our steak arrived and we finished out our meal full and satisfied on all fronts. Brazen is excellent and we will be going back often and it’s definite one of my new favorite spots. Excellent service, excellent food and excellent ambiance! Thanks to the staff front and back of house for a wonderful experience!!

My husband and I just moved here, and we’ve already been multiple times. Everything we have ordered has been amazing - the meatballs, bacon-wrapped dates, tuna poke bowl, and more - all fantastic! Overall, great cocktails, delicious food, and wonderful staff! If you can make it for their monthly wine dinner, do it! We had so much fun and met some really lovely people who also love Brazen!

My husband and I tried two different cocktails each and the drinks were made very well and were balanced. The oysters with ponzu and microgreens are a must. We had the poke, meatballs, farro and the gnocchi and each dish was well presented and most importantly beautifully seasoned. The S'mores were a great dessert item to get!

I had tried the sliders with pulled pork and coleslaw. Very crisp and tenderizing. Next I had the 6oz steak and fries. They were seasoned with Thyme . The honey mustard sauce they provided was very delicious. I had then tried the blueberry lemonade drink. Very very luscious on the tongue. I had then tried what is know as a creme soda shot the bartender had made. Could not even taste the liquor but could tell it had just the right amount of flavor of both. The peach crisp ice cream was so flavorful: Really did hit the spot would definitely recommend this place for a good night at out after a long day of work to unwind and relax. The service for phenomenal paid attention to my needs and refilled my drinks. Even a wonderful date night would be fantastic for a young couple to unwind and chill with great food wonderful drinks and amazing customer service. 5 stars all around

Delightful patio and great service. However, the food was the real star of the show. It's been a long time since I've tasted food..... just dish after dish that was as mind-blowingly delicious as a few weeks ago when I dined with friends at Brazen. Can't wait till next time I'm in town.... will definitely make it back for at least one meal!

Loved the food and drink selection here, but more importantly they are SUPER dog friendly. they have a great outdoor seating area that's grassy and has shade for the dogs along with posts to attach their leashes. the server brought out a bowl of water for them right away and was so friendly toward them, as were other staff. definitely going to be returning because of the amazing atmosphere and how friendly and accomodating the staff were. 😊

We dined here in late December right when they opened for dinner. The ambiance was pretty quiet and mellow with a cozy feel. They had the fire pit lit on the patio which was charming but a bit too cold to enjoy. The menu is for sharing so we started off with the beet salad which we all loved. It was dressed perfectly and the beets were cooked just right. The lamb ragu was very tasty with the fresh herbs but a bit heavy on the salt. The meatballs were packed with interesting things (I think pinenuts was one of them) and came in a small skillet with creamy polenta. They definitely satisfied but I think there needed to be a bit more tomato sauce with it. The meatballs don't need to be outshined, just enhanced a bit with extra sauce. The house made ricotta gnocchi was very hearty and satisfying. It had a burst of flavors with it including the oyster mushrooms which we thought went very well with the dish. The panna cotta was very tasty with it's berry sauce on top. The patio was festively lit and the dining room was warm and cozy. Service was swift and efficient.
