So, there was something about this place that makes me think of it every time it’s cold in California. We went there on a recent trip. The service was mediocre, but the food was not only great, it was special—different than your typical breakfast place. The atmosphere was simple, cozy, and warm, which was very comforting on a cold Denver morning.
This place was amazing all their breakfast was so delicious and the customer service was great I would highly recommend eating here if your visiting
Ate here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and no line at 8. Had the delish and that it was. Everything tasted great and came out hot and fresh. The hollandaise was excellent. Coffee was good. Staff friendly and attentive even if a little disorganized. Would definitely recommend.
Such a nice little spot in sunnyside. I had the "Nutty" waffle, scrambled eggs, and bacon. All really delicious. My favorite was the bacon (so good that I ordered a second order of it!!), it's a nice thick slice, cooked nice and crispy but a little chewiness left to it! My gf and I just came across this place after our morning hike and it was the perfect breakfast to cap off the morning!
I ordered the hipster... Usually veggie patties taste like they were thawed in a microwave then put on the food. Not in this case, the eggs were perfect and the potatoes were amazing. We hit right as it got busy so the service was a little slow but all and all it was a fantastic breakfast.
Overall the food was good. A bit pricey, and a bit salty for my taste. Worth giving a second taste. One of the nicest parts about the experience was no line on a Sunday morning.
Neighborhood place to have coffee, breakfast, smoothies.
Come hungry because the portions are big and delicious. Their pancakes and waffles are amazing. Waffle was crips, fluffy and just sweet enough.
Maple syrup was organic as was the regular coffee.
Parking can be a challenge since it’s really just off the street parking.
Service was prompt and friendly too.
Been going to Sunny’s for years now. Had not been in quite while. Was there today 11/19. Wow. The sandwich that’s sandwiched between two grill cheese sandwiches with an egg and chorizo Pattie wow. Simply wow. Good stuff. Also had the 2 and 2. 2 pancakes, with 3 eggs and bacon. Everything was really tasty. Got a cappuccino and a cup of coffee. Server was really friendly and attentive.
Classic breakfast/brunch spot. Nice atmosphere and good service. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. The chocolate chip pancakes were great.
A well kept secret that got let out of the bag. It’s a cute neighborhood spot with plenty of charm. The food is delicious though not as large as I was led to believe from some reviews here. Still easily filled us up.
I would highly recommend this small business because the food is delicious!
The best gluten-free pancakes or waffles substituted for any of them.
I had the gluten-free lemon, blueberries, whipped cream, and syrup. Then the potato wedges are large and tasty with eggs over easy.
Would I recommend this restaurant absolutely!
Wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm very glad we tried this place out. Yes, it is small, and it can get loud, and when we left, there was a line out the door, but the food made it worth it. My husband had the skillet, and he said it tasted great. I HAD to try the Goodnight, and it's now my new favorite. I mean, eggs, chorizo, avocado, and tomatoes sandwiched between two grilled cheeses!? 😋 AMAZING! Had to eat with a fork and knife. It was so thick but so worth it! The mocha was alright, needed to add a little sugar, but the pancakes were fluffy and great with syrup.
Sunny’s has some of the best breakfast in the neighborhood. My new favorite is the Aji Benedict. The service is incredible, they’re warm and friendly and always want to make sure you have an amazing experience. They are able to accommodate with gluten free options including pancakes and toast. I came on Christmas Eve and our amazing server sent us home with some homemade Christmas cookies. Whoever left a one star review for Sunny’s shouldn’t be allowed to eat out at restaurants.
Sunday morning comes around and all I have on my brain is pancakes and sausage. This place hit the spot! The housemade sausage was delicious and the pancakes were large, fluffy, and made perfectly golden. We enjoyed the potatoes and crispy bacon as well. The huevos rancheros was just ok, mostly because we didn’t expect it to be served in a burrito so that was a little messy to eat. All the ingredients are really fresh and well made. Coffee was really good and came super HOT. The wait was just 20 minutes this morning. Thanks for a great meal!
Very cute café. We brought our dog since it's dog friendly. Our food was fantastic.
Sunny’s is the best and everything to love in a sweet neighborhood breakfast cafe. Their menu has breakfast favorites and some really unique options, too! We had the cherry berry smoothie, blueberry pancakes and the skillet with eggs, chorizo and green chili. So perfect.
