We live in Montana and were driving thru, looking for a place to stop and eat while watching the 1st game of the World Series. The food was great and our server, Seth, was awesome.
The Hangover Burger is legendary - I literally dream about it. The beer selection and the friendliness of the staff cannot be beat! Would give 10 stars out of 5, if I could.
Burgers were juicy and made as ordered (med rare). They have a similar burger menu to that of Crave Real Burgers - crazy burger concoctions or build your own. Nice kids menu as well with a coloring page and crayons for the adults to entertain themselves while discussing controversial politics or enjoying a local beer. I had a salad with my burger and was surprised it came with some thin slices of bell pepper and raw mushrooms. The burger buns were good and homemade, mine was soggy due to the almost excessively juicy burger still good.
This place is fantastic! For flying in and picking a random burger joint we made a good choice. Feels authentic and not like a chain. They seated us quickly and had water fast. We placed our orders and they rocked those burgers. I’m originally from Nebraska and the beef was up to par. Only minor complaint was asking for cole slaw and they brought fries. Honest mistake for our waitress. Nevertheless I’ll gladly eat here again. The staff did a great job welcoming us first timers.
Heard a lot about this place (Best Burger in Denver, per Westword, 5280 Magazine, etc.), but never went here - until today. Why did I take so long to give this place a try? A great selection of hamburgers and items on the menu that are great for lunch, as well as for other times during the day. I would have to say that the prices are a bit on the high side ($11-13 for a burger) but the portions are large and the burgers to come with a side order of fries, coleslaw, or "half of each." Located on the north side of Colfax Avenue within a stone's throw from the State Capitol. Worth a try if you're into burgers.
Really good burgers. Came with a friend during the week for lunch, and my portion was huge. I had the Western Burger, which normally I would love, but something about the BBQ sauce I didn't love. Friend had a veggie burger, and said its the best one in Denver. I will be back to try other options!
**Best burger in Denver**
That's what the sign hanging above the door says. So I had to try this place out.
Went for dinner around 6pm on a Friday. To my surprise, no long wait.
We were instantly seated, and greeted by our waitress. We had our drinks and put in our order in a matter of minutes. Incredible!
On to the good part, the burger. I have attached pictures of my burger.
I ordered the Hangover steak burger. Egg over medium.
One bite and I knew, this is the best burger I have had in a long time! Best in Denver? Debatable.. but an incredibly good burger, absolutely!!
Environment was diner style, and looked very family friendly. Coloring menus and crayons were available for kids.
Overall, I highly recommend you go check this restaurant out. You will enjoy the great quality food, and fast & friendly service.
First time here. Very busy and the service was great. It wasn't a loud place. Good burger and fries. Good prices and I wish now that I tried their steak and shrimp. Well, there will be a next time!
What a place, I stop and eat here atleast once while in Denver. Ill walk a long ways or uber. But I always go. 2 weeks ago I tried 5 different places in Denver and CITY GRILLE WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST. When they say best in Denver they mean best in Colorado.
Great selection of food, reliably cooked, and great service from friendly staff. Their buffalo wings are definitely the best in the area, and the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers are wonderful.
Really good burgers. Went on a Tuesday, happy hour starts st 3pm.
I preferred my veggie burger vs my husband's classic burger. Clint our server was friendly and attentive.
