This location is bigger than its sister location off of Broadway. In the evening after 10 it turns to an adult bar/pizza pub. The on site manager was so kind he let us eat at 10:10 pm. He even took photos of our family with THE BIGGEST PIZZA I'VE EVER SEEN! The pizza was 26" of pure pizza heaven. Best pizza I have had in Denver. Slices were massive. Plates were given in an attempt to place your pizza on a normal place setting. We had mushroom, tomatoes, basil, spinach on a non gluten free crust. They do have an option though of gluten free. I am not sure about vegan choices. It was a thin syle crust pizza just like NY and Italy! The area had a nice bar, high table tops, booths and a pool table in the back. In the evening the music was modern and the atmosphere was a good vibe. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.
A laid back vibe with great pizza and drinks that are not messing around!
I got their Peanut Butter Manhattan to start and it was both tasty and STRONG.
We got one slice each, which is easily a good meal by itself. My wife got mushrooms and olives, I got the same but with bacon. The pizza is think crust, perfectly crispy bottom, saucey, with lots of toppings. Very floppy so you fold it to eat it. Darn good pizza.
Also, the prices are great! We got a mixed drink, a fountain drink, and four pieces of pizza (two to go) and before tip it was only $37.
Service was laid back, which is fine. This isn’t a place to be in a hurry. Parking is a challenge, but we found a spot within 5 minutes or so.
Highly recommended for casual dining and strong drinks!
Definitely one of the biggest pizzas I've had. Amazing amazing garlic parmesan wings. Had to say it twice for y'all in the back. Even if you didn't have a great experience with garlic parmesan, this is the correct way to do it. Is still soft, yet crispy wing. Not hard like a lot of places mess up. Also a great burger and bun. Nice and juicy and flavorful pickles. Will be back for some breakfast
Edit: Came back again and it's still amazing!
Service was great. Staff checked on us frequently when sitting at the bar. Definitely check in online to avoid some wait. Food though is great! Got the Franklin biscuits and it was delicious!
Loved the atmosphere here. Bartender was great and the biscuits were awesome. We did not feel disgustedly fat and heavy after eating our biscuits which surprised us both. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food, super generous portions. Food was fast to get to the table as well. Everyone loved absolutely everything they ordered. Try to share entrees to save room for dessert. Our entire group agreed that the strawberry shortcake biscuit is one of the best things we've ever eaten in our lives. Only con, the unsweetened regular iced tea was from a soda fountain and left the awful taste of citric acid in your mouth, it was undrinkable. The oddest part was that the sweet tea was homemade. Please, please make regular fresh brewed tea!!
Atomic Cowboy is great — especially this Colfax location. I love stopping by their window when I'm walking my dog for a quick pizza slice to-go. It's also nice to stop by after work for a beer with a friend, or swing by around brunch time on weekends for one of their ungodly delicious biscuits. You really can't go wrong here.
Also, I recommend getting their loaded garlic knots. The cheese dipping sauce is insane.
It's a nice upbeat atmosphere-being one of The Denver Biscuit Company locations it goes without saying that this place has pretty great brunch service but it is a popular location so I do suggest that you "get in line" online before arriving. I had the classic biscuits and gravy and a mimosa for brunch, can't go wrong with the classics! Best biscuits and gravy I've had in Denver
