If you want authentic Japanese food, this is your place! We had tried this place before their temporary closure, and it was great. Came back recently for lunch and it was even better since there was no crazy wait to get a table. We had the Japanese chicken curry and beef donburi as mains, and also tried the shumai and gyoza appetizers. All delicious!

Got the spicy tuna sashimi bowl. Was tasty, and surprisingly cheap(less than $16) for how much food it was.

Gyoza was and beef Domo Gatsuri were both yum. I loved the ambience and when they played the song The Sound of Silence in a Japanese flute tune, the loud crowd suddenly got more quiet! The interior and exterior is soo warm and exquisite, it’s like you’re in Japan. Loved the museum and the lovely Buddhas and garden outside. Domo arigato どうもありがとう for the lovely lunch

I was shocked by how gorgeous this place is. Super traditional and simple japanese homey foods with simple prices. But the quality of the food is so clean and so hearty. I had the spicy tuna bowl, my other half had the pork katsu curry, and we shared some appetizers, and all were HITS. This was my first time dining here, and I just love this place so much. They only serve lunch and a handful of things off their regular menu because they are just reopened, trying to recover from the economic hit we all suffered. Support this place! It has artifacts and historical scenes and decor.

Absolutely beautiful decor. It's so well thought out, you can see how much they care just from the inside. The food was beyond delicious. I got the chicken curry, it was amazing. The food feeds your soul, so tasty. Went with a group and we tried most of the menu, all of it was incredible.

Domo is a delightful retreat for those seeking authentic home style Japanese cuisine! Nestled in the heart of Downtown Denver, this rustic haven is beautifully decorated with extensive gardens you can walk through. The menu is limited but offers traditional Japanese comfort foods. From the hearty rice bowls, to the deliciously spiced curries, Domo is a must visit for those craving genuine Japanese food.

They are reworking the place in these days of do more with less. I was so excited that they’ve opened again, that the wait and short staffed floor team are understandable. Go in prepared to take your time and enjoy the ambiance.

I love the ambience. On a cold winter day, I'd come here every time for some cabbage hot pot or an udon bowl of goodness. The green tea was very soothing. Definitely take a walk outside in the garden.

We started coming here over 10 years ago and always love our meals. The Ramen is the best in Denver, and the ambiance is exceptional and unique. It was heartbreaking when they shut down for rennovations and to take a break after they became overwhelmed by a viral review of how great this place is. The pictures below are of all the meals on the lunch menu plus the apps. The only thing not shown is the edemame. So very happy, grateful, and feeling blessed that they are back! Our whole family wishes them peace, happiness, and long-lasting prosperity.

A little slice of Japan. I love when you enter, they traditionally say "irasshaimase" to welcome you. The interior is truly like stepping into Japan, it's beautiful and thoughtfully articulated over the course of nearly 3 decades. Since reopening, they do have a limited menu but the items are just as tasty as always. Furthermore, the portions are generous and nobody is going home hungry. I've tried the Nabeyaki Udon and Pork Cutlet Japanese Curry. Both dishes are very authentic and delicious. The Udon broth is addicting. And the pork cutlet was perfectly crispy. I also love one of their most recent sides, broccoli with Hijiki seaweed. So good, can't really find that anywhere else in Denver. All this, and a meal is only $14.50. What a steal.
