Review To The Wind - Denver

Greg Allen
We had a corporate Christmas party here, reserved the entire restaurant. The staff were very attentive, the food was amazing, from the appetizers to the main courses and desert. The food on the pictures are the monkfish entree and the chocolate cake dessert. Highly recommend.! Parking was a bit tough, most people took a ride service. I found a spot 3 blocks away.

Really good food for sure. The marrow with toast is unmissable. The service felt genuinely friendly and neither me or my wife left anything on our plates for every dish we ordered. First place that impressed me in Denver since moving from NYC. The pics I posted were us already having tasted the food, so that wasn’t the true presentation of the dish. Classy cocktails plus a little list of fancy whiskies, craft beers and wine which was cool. The bathroom was clean which is a good sign of the restaurant's hygiene standards. If you live or are visiting in Denver, this place has top tasty food at a manageable price if you're into truly pleasing your tastebuds.

Brooklyn, New Yorker approved. Some great stuff is happening all around the Blue Bird Theater. Had faith looking at the menu not picking, but going with the chef’s choice was going to be a great idea.

Loved everything here! It was hard to decide what we wanted so we ordered quite a bit and we were perfectly happy and satisfied. Cannot wait to go back!

The boiled peanuts you get at the start sets the tone for the entire meal. I've never had a bad flavor here, from sweetbreads to marrow, pork to fish, everything is thoughtfully crafted. The space is intimate and the chefs close.

First time here... Fantastic! Food is great. Each flavor in our meals was full and perfectly balanced. Parking is next to nil, but we parked one block into the neighborhood and had a nice 2 min walk in a nice neighborhood. Service was just as good. One of the best date nights we've had. Kuddos to the chefs and staff. We'll be back!

This is my favorite restaurant in Denver. The bone marrow is absolutely incredible, make sure to get a bone luge of specially selected Laws Whiskey to clean it out. The menu is always changing and never disappoints. The owner and chef Royce is welcoming and exceptionally talented. The staff and service is friendly and on point. Definitely a can't miss dining experience

Beautifully plated and delicious food! Chef Royce is awesome and his food speaks for itself (though he also makes great conversation!). We had Spanish octopus, cheddar gnocchi, and bone marrow. BEST gnocchi we've ever had. The octopus was delicious; light and flavorful. So was the bone marrow, which we had to get after we tried the first two dishes. It's a cozy place and very unpretentious despite the quality they provide (which I really appreciate). We just happened to notice this place while visiting Denver for a few days and I'm SO glad we came for our last meal here. It was easily our favorite restaurant that we visited in Denver. Please, PLEASE go if you get the chance!!

One of the best restaurants in Denver for new American style cuisine. Small, intimate, low-key vibe. Perfect for special occasions. Chef and staff work incredibly hard and are all awesome. Menu rotates regularly so there's always something new to try, and more popular dishes reccur.

Small & cozy bistro serving some very classy and extremely well-prepared dishes. Great date night spot! Call at least an hour and a half ahead of when you want to dine, seating is limited. The food and staff make it 100% worth it however. The wait staff are knowledgeable and very friendly, offering tips and suggestions. The owner and head chef is a nice guy who really knows his craft, you will not be disappointed! The bone marrow appetizer with the whiskey luge down the bone was really amazing, unexpectedly awesome. I will absolutely be going back again.

This is probably the best restaurant I've ever been to...certainly the best I've ever been to more than once. The food is delicious and cleverly made, the atmosphere intimate (22 seats!), and the people friendly and informative. The chef's counter is particular fun for amateur cooks. Whiskey and beer lovers will appreciate a drinks menu geared to them (well, us). Not cheap, but not terribly expensive either. Don't miss the opportunity.

Not sure where to begin, this was by far one of the best meals I've had in Denver. They accommodated my group of 8 (called about a week ahead) and I could not be more grateful for them doing so as I otherwise would not have gotten to experience this amazing display of culinary excellence. The bone marrow and the grilled romaine were absolutely bursting with flavor, so much so that I wasn't sure my grilled pork chop would be able to compete. Fortunately my worries were quickly thwarted as I took the first bite of my chop. The restaurant is very small and a perfect date spot. Can't wait to come back on my next trip through Denver. Cheers to the chef for crushing it, and big thanks to our server (her name is slipping my mind) who was incredible and to the owner for allowing us to take up half of your establishment. I can't say enough about this place.

Great food and staff. One if the best restaurants in Denver I've been to. We ordered half of the appetizers and entres on the menu and shared everything (family style). The staff actually suggested this as we couldn't decide what to get. All was superb. Don't be fooled by the less than appealing location and simplistic exterior of the place.

Food was absolutely fantastic and the service was wonderful. My girlfriend has a tree nut allergy and the whole staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable on what to avoid on the menu. We still had plenty of amazing choices to choose from. The duck entree and the pineapple upside down cake were to die for. This is a hidden gem that I will be sure to come back to!

I finally got a chance to try to the wind and it was well worth it. Definitely a bit higher end and a really cozy space. We started out with a sweet bread bao bun and ended with an assortment of their pork chop and duck dishes around the table. Everything was cooked perfectly, tender, and nice portions. They have a small menu that changes pretty often. Can't wait to get back in there.

Absolutely awesome food! It's a small place and they don't do reservations, so it's first come first served. But despite that, we loved this place! The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable and the chefs are so cool! We were sitting right in front so we could talk to the chefs and watch them as they were preparing the dishes! Great wine and drink menu! You're definitely getting quality food here that's worth the price!

This might be the best restaurant in Denver; and I'm not the only person to share this opinion. The food, the attention to detail, and the atmosphere are fantastic. The space isn't very large, which makes it easy to get the attention you might need while dining. It's like having a food at a friend's house. In my opinion, this is a must-visit location.

We tried several of the small plates and skipped the entrees to get a broader feel of the menu and they all brought something new to our meal. Everything about this place is understated. A glaring sign out front will not signal "you are here", but a small wooden one hangs in the window. You enter looking over a small wall where the chefs are quietly working and creating the meal you are about to have. The drink menu features several cocktails that are barrel aged in house, along with wine and beer. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive while not overbearing and trying to rush more meal to turn the table over in a hurry. Every element of this establishment is purposeful and not overdone. We are looking forward to entrees on our next visit..

Royce and Leanne and all of the staff here are super welcoming. This is a great date spot - it's intimate and cozy with rotating menu and art exhibitions. The menu is small but well rounded and features the finest seasonal ingredients. I've definitely tried some "exotic" dishes that have all surprised me with their flavors. veal sweetbreads, for example, and the finest octopus (not chewy at all) are examples. We are always impressed by the varied and unique flavors. It is fun to sit at the bar and watch the chefs at work, but it is also nice to face Colfax and see the energy & traffic blow by outside from a cozy, quiet retreat.

This place is truly amazing. Order anything off the menu- you can't go wrong. Ask Chef Royce for a beer pairing, or try the Three Sheets cocktail. Yum! Definitely sit at the counter if there's room. You won't be disappointed!

A lovely meal. The setting is intimate, and the menu and staff build on this. There is an eye for detail, and a commitment to friendliness. One of Denver's finest.

I just had an incredible dinner here today. The staff was the highlight of the evening, which is saying something, because the food was incredible! The flavors were exquisite, but even nicer was the warm and playful way in which they were presented. If you want a truly special experience that leaves you feeling nourished in stomach and heart, this is the spot to go!

Great service, amazing food and drinks. One of the best culinary experiences I have had in Denver. The Bone Marrow and Laws Whiskey shots luge style are a must.

Just a fantastic restaurant with a great staff and terrific owners. You must try this place it will become a favorite immediately.

My fave restaurant in Denver. The food is always creative and delicious. The atmosphere is unpretentious, intimate, and familiar. Royce and Leanne have created a gem of a restaurant.

Delicious food in a down to earth atmosphere, surrounded by genuine people.

Fresh homey food and the young, enthusiastic owners split the billing here! It takes both to pull off a West Village-type bistro. An ever changing menu and local ingredients along with the talented chef/owner make it irresistible. Go, eat, enjoy. And if it's still being featured, try the marrow appetizer. No disappointments here!
Belinda Porter
Great food, quaint ambiance, fantastic service, and fun experience overall! It is a must visit.

This was one of the most delicious meals I've had in Denver. The buttermilk chicken was SO GOOD. I swear I'm going to have dreams about that spicy sauce. If you haven't been to here you must go! Thank you to our lovely waitress Rebecca for the amazing service. The whole experience was fantastic!

Best dinner I have had in Denver! Intimate. Great service. Friendly. I took my son and his girlfriend here and all three of us were wowed. The food was cooked with love. So delicious. Can't wait to go back. A very very special place.

The Buttermilk Chicken is one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. And thanks to my server for suggesting the Wyoming Whiskey bourbon - it was delicious. This place is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood.
