Sassafras American Eatery - Denver - Photo album

Wow this is my favorite brunch spot I’ve had in Denver. Everything was so flavorful! The place looks like an old time Victorian house and it’s beautiful. The service was a big slow for my liking. The food though, five stars. Everything was flavorful and did not need any extra salt or pepper. We both
4.5/5 Great brunch spot and very well known throughout Denver. It's a great southern - esque food spot that seems to specialize in brunch to me. Everything was super delicious that we had here. I'm very excited to come back and try more options but you really can't go wrong. Only thing keeping
The food and service here are impeccable! Very kind happy host, amazing coffee and drinks & the food was bursting with flavor. We tried the breakfast pasta which was amazing and the smoked salmon benedict which was made with super fresh flavorful smoked salmon. Wish we had a Sassafras where we live!
What a find! Came in for brunch, a few minutes before they closed, but was met with friendly faces. The menu is good, a bit on the spicy side but so worth it! I had the shrimp and grits and the beignets... Finished up with a lavender latte. Cannot recommend these high enough. Our waitress was good a
Our first time at the Denver location, and Ofcourse we still love Sassafras! Our favorite brunch in Denver, if you haven’t stopped in, you MUST! Kind, helpful staff. Amazing dishes. Beautiful, delightful coffees. Their own house hot sauce. What more do you need? Get going!
Great place for breakfast / brunch with great character. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. I’ve definitely found my new breakfast spot in town!
Solid establishment! If you’re looking for standard American eatery, this might not be your place. These guys put their own spin on everything so if you don’t like different flavor profiles, this might not be for you. That being said, I love this place. We had a short wait to get seated, and too
I had a wonderful lunch here today. I was part of a small group from lots of places. The menu was varied enough to find something for all of us. I had the special, catfish tacos. Yummy! But when I go back I for sure will pick a Mac & cheese, it looked amazing. We were seated in a lovely garden.
We all were so impressed by the staff, atmosphere, service, meal and beverages. We really wish we could’ve ate there but had to get takeout because we were running late for an event. This place is fantastic and definitely hope to come back the next time we’re in town.
Was reccomended this spot by a friend while passing through. Started off with the deviled eggs, breakfast shooter, and a snickerdoodle latte. For the main meal, I ordered the deep south benedict. (That consisted of pulled pork, collared greens, corn bread, the normal benedict fixings, & bbq sauce)
Great breakfast/brunch place. It’s good but definitely not the best brunch place I have gone to. Customer service is good but not amazing took quite a bit for them to refill our water when it was empty.
Place is a vibe, old house, but very clean, organized and fully decorated creating a cool atmosphere. On top of that, great service, delicious food and a top notch homemade lemonade! 100% recommended!
Amazing food, all of it. The Sassafras bloody was extremely good. Also the breakfast Mac and cheese was very good too.
It’s been a while that I went to a restaurant and LOVED absolutely everything about it. We were in a group of 5 and ordered different dishes. Tried each others food and ALL the group ordered would be things I would happily choose to eat myself. They also have fresh squeezed juices! Great atmosphere
The chicken and waffles, beignets, and drinks were delightful, and service was on point with recommendations. Show up early for brunch to beat the crowds; if you do have to wait, the long fire table outside pumps out the heat.
Such a wonderful spot for brunch with ample indoor and outdoor seating options. Location on 32nd St. in the Denver Highlands, there’s plenty of other shops and things to do around the area, making it a great place to spend the afternoon. I loved the outdoor atmosphere on the back patio, the iced lat
The friendliest staff I have ever encountered in Denver! We had such a great brunch experience yesterday. The food was amazing, we loved all our drinks, and we didn’t have a reservation so we expected a long wait and were sat in under ten minutes. This is my new favorite brunch spot. I can’t wait
Let me start with the only negative which is parking lol wasn’t even that bad tho was able to park our big truck right around the corner just fine! As far as food it was great a bunch of great foods was with a group of people so we tried a few starters that were amazing fried green tomatoes, maple &
