Grandy's

I don't come here often, but when I do I have the breakfast buffet and love it. This time I chose to get a catfish sandwich combo. The food was great, the cleanliness of the store was very acceptable. The ice machine wasn't working when I was there but if that's the only thing that was wrong then I'll give this place a 5-star review.

Have been to this location several times, each time the quality gets lower and lower. Today the mashed potatoes had a sour taste. The lady who took our order walked off halfway through to go move the rolls from one oven to the cool down rack. The rolls that came to our table were flattened and undercooked. One of our orders was supposed to have coleslaw and fries, it came with mashed potatoes and corn. Not impressed with this location at all and will not be going back.

I go here a lot. I have notice overall great service and nice people. I have a few things to complain about though. Alot of the time I go for there fried chicken, but 4 out of 5 times they do not have it made yet. (around 6:30 pm) It almost seems like they don't cook it till they are asked. Which is okay if you like it cooked when you ask for it. I just care about time. There food is different from everyone around and definitely worth trying. It's not great food but it's worth it.

Service was terrible I had a long dark colored hair in my food and the order wasn't right (I ordered steak, instead received sausage). the employees all have their hair down not healthy for their business. I asked for a refund and the manager didn't even offer to remake my food and seemed indifferent to my food having hair in it. He doesn't know how to treat his customers. If this is how Grandy's is I don't wish to eat there in the future.

Small disclaimer I used to work for Grandy's parent company one of my perks was free food. So my earlier experiences were better than average because it was clear that I was a corporate employee. With that in mind grandy's is wonderful is it healthy no, is a delicious oh yes! The wonderful thing about Denton is it even though it's turned into a city you still have just enough of that country atmosphere to make it delightful. My friend and i had chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak and they were both perfectly executed. Great fries, Mac and cheese that rises above fast food, quick friendly service. It's not cool or trendy just really good and a great value. Comfort food that's just delicious, I'll be back probably next week.

I have been visiting this location for 10+ years. The location is usually understaffed (not their fault) and so the wait times can sometimes be longer than other "fast food" locations. The staff is always friendly and if you are inside you can see they work as fast as possible for the number of people they have.

This is the most ghetto place I’ve ever been in. The GM asked one of the workers at the counters to go in the back with him. 2 seconds later me and everyone else waiting to get our orders taken heard him YELLING at her not to tell people that they don’t have a certain item on their menu. I guess he didn’t want to make himself look bad? Then he YELLED at the girl sweeping “DID YOU CLEAN EVERYTHING IN THE DINING AREA?” Very horrible management. HE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!!! He is still yelling at his workers as I am typing this. This place needs a LEADER not a BITCHY BOSS.
