Captain D's

This is a nice place to eat, it's been established for over 20 years now, and still has some of the early employees, so the service is pretty exceptional. It's always clean, and it's just a nice place to eat if you like Cap'n D's, or if you're trying it for the first time. I've noticed that in the last two years, or since Covid, that the portions are considerably smaller than they used to be, but watcha' gonna do? 😏 I still give them 5 stars for their nice, friendly service and cleanliness.

Appearances were deceiving. Once inside the cashier took our order. After I asked for a baked potato she said that machine was down. We were not offered drinks, she just rang up the total. Then we said we want drinks, only to find out the ice machine was broken. We proceeded to the dining room. All of tables and booths were filthy but two. The floor was slippery in the dining room and in the bathroom. The food was good, it was hot cooked well. I drank my own beverage instead of ordering a beverage from the restaurant. Demopolis is a small town, please fix this place up so out of town folks can stop by and enjoy a nice meal in a clean place. This seems like an accident waiting to happen.
