We are sushi people, rolls are fine but sashimi deliciousness is what we judge a joint on. We’ve moved up to Delray Beach this year and we had pretty much abandoned our old haunt because quality had disappeared over time after 13 years of weekly patronage - we could no longer justify the price for the waning quality. We’ve literally been searching for several years for a new “place”.
I interacted on Instagram regarding specials and thought we’d give them a try. We passed this place by literally 50 times in the last couple of years ...we are so mad at ourselves. Wow!!!
Fresh local mutton snapper was melt in your mouth delicious! Local Wahoo was awesome, the Salmon was delicate and buttery; Hokkaido scallop - everything i dream about. Their house soy was delightful and they are super friendly. I am literally giddy to have gotten this quality so close to home. I had resigned myself to getting my sushi fix on my regular trips to Portland.
Thanks Yama-San and Jinji!!!!
I Stopped by last week with my neighbor to try something different...well, we LOVED our food. Simply delicious ! An extensive lunch menu with reasonable prices. The Garlic Chicken was lightly breaded on top of veggie fried rice...the salad with ginger dressing was light and refreshing. So, I went there again today since I kept thinking about how good that lunch was....got the same thing and enjoyed it even more...it's my new go to lunch spot in Pineapple Grove!
On the photos (left to right): Atlantic Roll, steamed shrimp Shumai, and Harumaki (vegetable egg rolls). This restaurant is located on beautiful 2nd Ave, Delray's art district. Lots of people passing by, nice places to shop and stroll in the evening. The restaurant offers outside dining which makes it even more enjoyable. The combination of flavors and ingredients of this signature roll with a soft spicy kick makes this Atlantic Roll one of the best sushi I've ever tried. Will come back for more.
The freshest sushi in south Florida. I eat sushi from here 3-4 days a week. There is no comparison in freshness anywhere. You get what you pay for if you want quality over quantity.
This is our sushi spot. And we're picky. We get the chef's toro sushi special (two of 'em), a chicken yakitori, and some sake. Yeah it might be a few bucks more than your local spot. But it is consistent, melt-in-your-mouth sushi. Good spot for date night. We're here like at least once a month 👀
Food were really good. They tend to get so busy at night, hence, a slow turnaround on serving the food. Customer service is great!
Wow. The best sushi and sashimi I have ever had in Florida. We sat at the sushi bar and got to watch and speak with their Itamae who is a master of his craft. All of the food was prepared and presented in such a beautiful way. The Itamae special Wasabi sauce was incredible. The service was amazing. Every one made sure we had everything we need. I highly recommend Yama for sushi and sashimi.
I don't know what kind of drugs they put in their "Yama Speciality Roll" but I'm speachless. Ordered it for the first time for delivery and I literally had to order 3 more rolls to be delivered after trying it. This is the greatest roll my taste buds have ever touched upon. Just thinking about it has my mouth watering. I eat all sorts of different sushi, I'm always trying something new once or twice a week and this has been PERFECTION. Whenever i order sushi it's going to be from here from now on! Thank you Yama
Great spot for lunch! Most of their lunch items are under $15 so for Delray that's a bargain! Got the bento box the first time and sushi rolls the 2nd. Both times no complaints.
Well...there was this one thing but not worth mentioning or taking a star off :)
Again, sorry no pics. I been doing stories more and not taking pics. Tsk tsk tsk
