The counter top service worried me quite a bit when I walked in. They were decently busy in house, but the phone kept ringing (I assume for take out). Their menu above head just listed what they had, but not what was in each roll. So I stood there looking up options on their online menu.
I got 2 rolls, Shrimp Tempura and Caterpillar. Both were good.
They quoted me a wait at 40 mins. It took 67 mins for the sushi to hit my table. Slight benefit of the doubt being valentines day. Clearly they're a popular option.

Visit this place on Wednesdays since only on that day they serve the Famous Ramen. We did not get the chance to have the ramen since we visited on Tuesday. We have tonkutsu noodles. It was okay, soup was good, but the udon noodles was too thick, was over filling for one person.

Don't be put off by the counter service setup - this is good Japanese food at a great price! All the food we tried here was fresh and tasty, and the bubble tea was also really good. Crab egg rolls were my favourite. The service is fast and efficient since they just bring the dishes to you as they're ready.

The food is always so tasty and the environment is nice. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long but it’s worth it! I usually get their shrimp hibachi, crunchy crab roll, and coffee bubble tea. I’ve tried several other dishes and all have been delicious too!

This was the first sushi place I ever ate at and it was the best introduction to the Japanese American cuisine. Food is super yummy and affordable. Plus the pink sauce, their special sauce, cannot be found anywhere else and is the highlight to all of their meals. I would always and highly recommend grabbing a bite from Fushi Yami!!

I love coming here. It's the closest place I can come to for authentic style sushi and Japanese dishes and offer some amazing ramen on Wednesday. Not far from campus, can walk or drive easily, I'll be back again soon. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want something worth your money.

Wow!! Recently went for the first time and this was one of the tastiest places I have been in awhile. Huge menu so lots to pick but we went with steak and fried rice with veggies and yellow fin sushi. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sushi was super fresh. Egg rolls were crisp and delicious. Will definitely be going back!!

honestly pretty bland. i got the steak hibachi, age tofu, pork dumplings, and a milk tea. there was no flavor in any of the dishes and the dumplings were obviously microwaved and barely warm. the service was fine but i guess it depends on whose in the kitchen because i cant believe all these positive reviews are for the person that made my food.
