Shake Shack Dedham

5 stars for quality, 1 star for service. The food here is really good IF you can order it. I've never been able to order online, since it always says they're "not taking orders" in a pop-up and I have the same issue when ordering through any delivery service. I did successfully order once, but my order magically disappeared when my dasher got there (he called from the shack to tell me they were closing). If you are lucky enough to get there when they're open (they always close WAY early), you'll be waiting for at least half an hour if they're not busy. I've waited 30 minutes with only 4 people in line in front of me. The staff will also do anything just to get you out of there. They have blatantly lied about methods of payment 'not working' just to get you to leave. I love their food, but I usually go somewhere else. I'm only posting this review now since I tried (and failed) once again to order from them today. 7pm on Thursday, Google says they close at 9pm, and they're no longer taking orders.

I went in and ordered and waited almost 12 minutes for a small drink. The two guys that took my order seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than helping me. They were short staffed. There could have been more "friendliness". The lady that was making the orders was not calling them out, just tossing them onto the counter, then returning to the kitchen. Other than that, drink I ordered was DELICIOUS!

TERRIBLE!! We ordered chicken bites (which tasted like they were soaked in water and then cooked in solid grease). The fries were cold... and didn't come out as ordered. The drinks were wrong (which caused us to be overcharged).The staff seemed bothered by my simple requests and rude... so I tossed our $28 "lunch" in the trash. PLEASE consider something else for lunch/dinner. McDonald's is better than this location. I've been to many other Shake Shack locations in the past, but nothing this bad.

I really don't see anything special about this place. It's nice inside and has a cool atmosphere but nothing really special. Maybe if you're vegetarian because their shroom burger is supposed to be very good but I haven't tried it so I'm just speaking of what I had. Parking around is not that difficult and many places to see at this shopping center.

The ONLY reason for the 3 stars is because the food was great! However, the service is awful. I went in the late afternoon and stood alone at the counter for a good bit while there were two guys at the counter who were chatting it up. They didn’t say a word to me and then one walked away like I was invisible. Then the other just stood at the register for a bit without acknowledging me. Finally, after a minute, the server looked up and said to me, “Did you order?” (Really?) I told him that I hadn’t and then he took my order. Poor, poor service. The table tops were dirty, so I had to clean mine with hand sanitizer. These guys need some kind of customer service training, but, no doubt, the food was terrific.
