Maharaja Grill

Stopped by them on my way back from Michigan earlier in September and I am thankful I did. I still remember the consideration the gentleman/owner here showed me and he deserves a word in. The food was awesome. I don’t complain about indian/Pakistani food overseas anyways. But the Chicken I was served was really delicious. Plus I was given generous portions. The owner is kind and cordial.

For a long time, I ordered the best food from this place. Unfortunately, lately the food taste has changed. I tried different dishes, but the quality of the food is different. The service is decent, I can always speak to someone and make an order over the phone. The customer service is also good. But I would hope this place will get back to what it was before with food.

In the area for business, figured I'd do something other than a chain restaurant. The Tikka Masala on fries looked interesting (really had me jonesing for poutine). The chicken was good, and the fries were great. Good size portion, especially for the price. Would return, though I'd go medium spice instead of mild.

This place needs to be labeled as carry out only. We came today and the place does not have air and it took 45 minutes to receive our food. Service was nonexistent. They also served our food in to go containers with paper plates. The sauce for our food was fantastic but unfortunately the chicken is EXTREMELY tough. I love supporting small businesses, but this experience was absolutely ridiculous.

I have been going to the restaurant for a few years now, and during quarantine they became my go-to for Indian food. I’ve tried multiple other Indian restaurants in the surrounding area over the past 15 or so years, and none compare! Recently, I tried to find a specific dish they make at other spots as they were temporarily closed for vacation. While the other dishes weee good, none of them were what has become my absolute favorite meal. Today, the first day they weee back open, I got my favorite (Matter Paneer) and it was just what I had been missing!

Today was the first time we have eaten at the Maharaja Grill. We were not sure what to expect from a small strip mall type dinery, but figured we would give it a try. The food was amazing. My wife and I chicken dishes were very tender, and very flavorful (Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Marsala). One of our sons got the Lamb Curry, and the lamb just melted in your mouth. Our other son got the Chicken Briyani. It was also a mouthful of flavor. The staff was very friendly as well. We will definitely be going back there again.
