Reviews of Edison's

I am surprised by the marginal rating of Edison's. The menu is relatively static, so if you want new items every time you go, it is not for you. But I find the items on the menu to be classic and excellently prepared. My wife and I go regularly, and we often have the same waiter; this man has worked there for years and is both pleasant, attentive without being intrusive, and knowledgeable. On weekends, it is generally very private, as most guests are business people during the week. Even on more crowded nights, it is a comfortable experience, with comfortable seating and appealing lighting. Overall, I really enjoy Edison's.

April 2022:. They are only open for breakfast. It's a standard buffet. Many different pastries and bread, variety of fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes. Includes coffee and juice for $22 a person. Was disappointed, was looking forward to a full service meal. The furniture is old, the chairs were sagging and wobbly. It has an old charm, but needs some attention.

It was a classy very nice place. I went to there for my early birthday breakfast with my friend. One of Very Courtesy Server making entire atmosphere to be Grand!! He is "above beyond" for his customer service!! I think his name is Mamoon (? If wrong, I'm sorry but similar sounds) I will definitely going back as long as he is working there!!!! Highly recommend for anyone. Backside courtyard is beautiful as well.

Disgusted!!! I was here for my birthday celebration for brunch, I wanted to order off the menu and no one informed us that we could not order breakfast off the menu. I did not eat because I wanted either lox and salmon or eggs Benedict. I drank hot water and coffee instead. Never again. Breakfast buffet had rotten fruit and cold potatoes.

We stayed at the hotel and dined here ona Friday evening. We both ordered filet . It was perfectly cooked. Med rare for me and med well for my man. Not sure if it's because we are Canadian and there is less sodium in our food but we both found our food overly salty. To the point i could not finish mine. Everything else was great. . Service. .dessert (creme brulee ) wine selection. A great experience. Included breakfast buffet was incredible too. Fresh fruit .. omelet station.. hot eggs. Bacon etc. Great coffee too.

No critics? Or rave reviews?. This is usually is a restaurant I check out on urban spoon to leave a review and add to my favorites... And I find numerous critic reviews talking up the quality, decor and menu items. Why is this such a secret? <br/><br/>Best filet I've ever had, great salad too, could have more cheese on the pear salad. Artwork was a little to predictable, they could create a more contemporary environment, other wise the bar and restaurant are great looking.<br/><br/>Did I say the food was some of the best I've had. I'd put this in the same class as the Roast at the Westin in downtown Detroit.
