The OG! These cheap imitators popping up can try all they want to smoke them out, but this is truly the best custard place around, and a true staple of the community for a good reason. The custard is heavenly, the ice cream is true blue, and I’ve always had great service from the staff. No one out-custard’s the Hut! Cheers!

I loved going here as a kid. But as I got older I stopped going as I became lactose intolerant. Happy to say that I went in the other week and they started serving vegan icecream! Now I can relive my childhood

I've always loved Custard Hut, it's my favorite place for custard in Metro Detroit. I recommend it to everyone I know.
When I went the other day with two friends, both are allergic to dairy, they got the vegan "soft serve" and it was terrible. I gave it a taste, and it tasted like unflavored slush with non-dairy creamer powder in it. I can't think of any other way to describe it.. Neither of them could finish the flurries they got. I've tried a lot of dairy-free ice creams, but never one this bad.
I never write reviews, but I wanted to call attention to improving the dairy-free soft serve. Please, if you can! There are a lot of people who can't have dairy and that's their only option for soft serve.

I came in for the 1st time with my friend during their flavor of the week special for Ukraine. We each got a small lemon and blue moon frozen custard and 1 for my s/o at home. 2 cups and 1 cone. It was fantastic and for a good cause. I came back today and got my niece a frozen custard sundae and i got a quart of strawberry frozen custard. It was amazing. Can't wait to try more flavors. I had never had frozen custard before and I am so in love with the texture and flavor. It's like nothing else. So freaking good!😋

The Ice Cream is good. But the customer service from one off there workers is horrible. The girl that took me and my familys order made us feel like we were bothering her. And was very rude, even my kids felt uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the customer service.

The Custard Hut in Dearborn Heights is a staple like no other. Try the waffle sandwich, and have something to brag about to your jealous friends in Westland, Livonia, and Garden City. Place is a treasure.
