I asked for my burger well done and it was delicious and juicy. The beer was ice cold too! This was our 1st time at the Sugar Shack and we will definitely be back. Indoor seating is a bit crowded but still comfortable and there was quite a bit more seating outside and covered.

Fantastic food with great service. The burgers are fresh and tasty. The pop and water are self service, and the family loved that for all the water we consume. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Burgers were big and tasty! My husband loves burgers and he made it a point to stop at the place known for "the Best Burgers in South Dakota". Service was great! We had lunch at an odd time, so it was super quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the small town off the beaten path ambience.

Simply a jewel of a place. Quintessential dive restaurant with outstanding staff and food. They’re known for their burgers and also their outstanding breakfast. They have a lot of awards and some of the food networks have been to visit them. Do yourself A favor when visiting the Black Hills, stop for that burger or an outstanding breakfast and meet the crew. Great food! Positive atmosphere and take pride in customer service! Very impressed with the service and quality of food. The young man at the grill was fun to watch as he flipped and tossed the burgers from grill to plate. Burgers and Dives should check this place out!

My family and I were staying in this area so we stopped for breakfast one day and dinner the next. We absolutely LOVED this place along with it's outdoor seating. It's a cute country style restaurant with delicious food and priced affordably. The staff were friendly and very accepting of our pup. Try the pancakes - they're as big as the plate and delicious! If we find ourselves in this area again we will most definitely be back!

Awesome staff and food! It's a unique experience, to me at least, to have breakfast and feel like I am in a field with cows super close (no smell or noise from them but you can watch them while you wait), and it started my day off just right!

They are the best burgers I've had on my trip from Ind. to Colorado to New Mexico to Arizona to Utah to Wyoming to here. And I had a lot of buyers on this trip. I give them a 10. Small shack on side of road. So name is fitting would like to see them on Diners ,drive-ins,and dives. They are cooking right inside if door. It's on the way to Deadwood,South Dakota from Custer,South Dakota.
