My family and I love this place. The owners come out and speak with you, the staff is very helpful with recommendations, and the food is phenomenal. We love that this place is also handicap accessible and had no problems with getting a wheelchair in and around the restaurant.
Limited seating due to Covid, but worth a visit. Wonderful food, I love the Cashew Chicken, the BEST I've found anywhere! Prices are very reasonable and servings are plentiful.
Wonderful food, amazing staff. Highly recommended!
I was visiting from Chicago n dying to have some good asian food. Hey, got lucky n found this spot. The law mein was amazing. The place is super clean n staff is really friendly n welcoming.
I stumbled upon Minh Gourmet about two weeks ago -- it sits on a smaller side road somewhat hidden by Slagles grocery store. I'm really glad I did, because I liked it so much I've already returned with my wife and had their lunch buffet two more times.
The lunch buffet is Mon - Saturday 11 AM to 2 PM, and costs a very reasonable $6.95. It is very popular with the locals, including tradesmen, seniors, and many blue-collar workers from nearby businesses. Although the parking lot may appear full, Minh's has ample seating ( even for large groups), and they continually bring out food to replenish the buffet. The wait staff is friendly, efficient, and regularly takes away any used dishes and refills your drinks.
The buffet selection is not huge, but the food is tasty and the meats are tender and ample. There are two soups ( egg drop and sizzling rice), egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and small fried chicken wings. There are always six staples like sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, Hunan Pork ( slightly spicy), garlic chicken or broccoli chicken, General Taos chicken, chicken lo Mein, a vegetarian dish. Fried or white rice is available. The dessert bar includes fresh fruit like bananas and watermelon, two flavors of home-made, frosting-covered sheet cake ( I've had cherry, walnut, and chocolate in my visits), some cookies, and softserve vanilla ice cream with several Hersey toppings.
They also have a full menu, carry-out and delivery service, and a Friday night buffet from 4:30 to 8 PM ($ 9 adult, 4.75 children).
Had the Kung Pao chicken, it's way better than it was 5 years ago! Sadly the buffet is gone now though.
The best Chinese restaurant in the Quad cities ran by the greatest Vietnamese family. The owner calls me son, and she treats me like one too. The food is always amazing. They always throw an extra stuff for me. The price is so low that I can't help it to order an entire table where the food. Your egg drop soup comes with the meals and is the best I've ever had. I don't even like egg drop soup. And I can't get enough of theirs. The staff is great and it's just an amazing establishment. I would recommend this place to everyone in the world and every time I go there I bring someone new. By the way I'll see you guys tonight for dinner.
